All missionaries serving in Taiwan for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints are safe following Saturday’s earthquake.

Fox News reports that the 6.4 magnitude earthquake killed at least 34 people in Taiwan. Deseret News reports that a mission president sent an email to the missionaries’ parents letting them know that all missionaries are safe.

Church spokesman, Dale Jones released a statement, saying,

The Church extends our love and concern for the people of Taiwan impacted by this major earthquake. Gratefully all missionaries serving in the area are accounted for and are safe. Our thoughts and prayers are with those who are suffering.
