Prepare to lose your appetite. Prepare to Serve! has created a video compilation of the weirdest foods missionaries have eaten while in the U.S. and outside of it. Below are just a few of the foods mentioned in the video:

  • Cow and pig hoof
  • Stingray
  • Whale steaks
  • Tarantula
  • Beetles (raw and cooked)
  • Ants and ant eggs
  • Pickeled herring
  • Dog
  • Horse

Alex Balinski, the creator of Prepare to Serve! enjoys interviewing future and returned missionaries with his wife. The missionaries’ responses are recorded and uploaded to YouTube as they answer questions regarding their missionary experiences, various cultures they’ve been exposed to, and the challenges they had while learning a new language.

Alex and his wife have interviewed about 250 different missionaries and seek to expand that number by eventually interviewing at least one missionary from every LDS mission.
