A Utah photographer is beginning a 38-hour road trip today to photograph all sixteen temples of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints located in the state. The photographer, Sandy resident Jason Carlton, is also launching an online project called “Temples and Testimonies” on his website. Carlton hopes to create a collection of testimonies contributed by members of the Church and match them with his photos of temples.

I love to photograph temples of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. But I also love hearing testimonies from members of the church. So why not combine the two together?” Carlton wrote on his website.

Those interested in following Carlton’s journey can follow him on Twitter or on Instagram. Carlton will begin his temple-hopping adventure at 3:45 pm today when he visits the Payson Utah Temple, which is still under construction. Those interested in submitting their testimonies can email Carlton at [email protected].
