The Story of God with Morgan Freeman

Morgan Freeman

This series follows Morgan Freeman as he explores many different religions and the idea of life after death. He is simply studying all denominations to inform and compare. It’s very interesting and could spark great conversations with others! There are currently two seasons. I found this series under the “Faith & Spirituality” tab. Check that out for even more gospel related shows!

Tall Girl

While it may be a bit of a chick-flick, all family members will enjoy this movie. The story follows a very tall high schooler who struggles with fitting in. The message focuses on overcoming the trials of bullying and self-esteem issues. It is a really cute story! You can find Tall Girl in the “Children & Family Movies” section of Netflix. This is another good place to look for entertainment as well.

The Little Prince

The Little Prince on Netflix

The Little Prince tells a sweet story about keeping imagination alive. A mom creates a life plan for her daughter which involves a LOT of studying. However, as the girl is studying, she befriends her neighbor. This man teaches her the importance of creativity through the story of a little prince (originally written by Antoine de Saint-Exupery).

Other Favorites

Magic for Humans and Zumbo’s Just Desserts are a couple more of my family’s favorites. They also have lots of competition shows like Interior Design Masters that are fun to watch! What are your Netflix musts?

Unfortunately, Hulu doesn’t have nearly as many originals that are clean. They do have a lot more classic television shows that are fun to re-watch, though! Read on!

Find Me in Paris

Find Me in Paris Hulu Show

This teen drama/comedy is about a girl who accidentally time travels from 1905 to our day. She has to learn how to live in the 21st century and experiences the bullying that can happen in high school. The show has a great message about staying true to yourself!

Ellen’s Game of Games

I was recently babysitting and the kids introduced me to this game show. It’s hilarious! We loved watching people make fools of themselves during the crazy games Ellen comes up with. This will be a family favorite, for sure.

Holly Hobbie

Holly Hobbie Hulu Original

This show is definitely more for kids, but parents can get a kick out of it, too! Especially since it’s based on the popular character from the ’70s and ’80s. Holly is a great role model who has a goal of saving her grandma’s cafe. It teaches young people the importance of having good friends, getting involved in the community, and accomplishing your goals.

More to Watch

I am personally obsessed with Say Yes to the Dress and Cake Boss on Hulu. Cupcake Wars is another big hit. In fact, a member of the Church won Cupcake Wars a few seasons ago! Check out the “Family” section on this streaming service. There are tons of gems I forgot about!
