Brigham Young University is home to one of the largest continuing education programs in the country—BYU Education Week, which has been a tradition for 92 years. Each year, Education Week revolves around a different theme. Participants will be able to choose from more than 1,000 classes covering various topics which are taught by more than 200 presenters. The theme for this year’s Education Week, “Seek Learning, Even by Study and Also by Faith,” comes from the Doctrine and Covenants 88:118.

BYU reports that the administrator for Campus Education Week, H. Bruce Payne, promises:

Attendees will have a rewarding, uplifting and motivating experience attending classes taught by skilled presenters on a great variety of subjects from gospel principles to the arts, family and marriage relationships to finance, self-improvement, technology and more.

The instructors selected for Education Week are BYU professors, seminary and institute teachers, and other experts in similar fields. This year’s Tuesday devotional (which is open to the public) for Education Week will feature Elder David A. Bednar, a member of the Quorum of the Twelve of Apostles for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

More than 80 classes are set aside geared toward youth ages 14-18. In addition to these youth classes, there will also be a Thursday evening dance at the price of $5.00.

BYU’s Campus Education Week will start on Monday, August 18 and continue through Friday, August 22.
