Yesterday, the New York Yankees announced that the Mormon Tabernacle Choir added Yankee Stadium to their Atlantic Coast Tour.

The all volunteer choir will perform a pre-game concert of patriotic songs prior to singing the National Anthem on Friday, July 3, for the Yankees game against Tampa Bay. Ron Jarrett, President of the Mormon Tabernacle Choir, said that it is an honor for the choir to sing at such an iconic American venue. According to YesNetwork.com, Jarrett said,

The saying goes that there’s nothing more American than baseball and apple pie, and I would add, having America’s Choir lift its voices in patriotic songs to celebrate the birth of this great nation.

During the Atlantic Coast Tour, the choir has plans to perform in Boston, New York City, Saratoga Springs (New York), and Bethesda (Maryland), and at Carnegie Hall. For tickets to see the choir and for more information about the tour, visit MormonTabernacleChoir.com.
