Tyler Haws is on the fast track to becoming the career leader in points at BYU by the end of the hoops season.

The senior guard has already passed Michael Smith, who ended his college career with 2,319 points. Haws currently has 2,337 career points under his belt.

Haws is currently averaging 21.6 points per game and, if he keeps up the momentum, should surpass both of the current point leaders Danny Ainge and Jimmer Fredette, who ended their careers with 2,467 and 2,599 points respectively.

To date, Haws has scored double digits in 105 games, tying Fredette in second place.

The Cougars will play their next home game at the Marriott Center against Loyola Marymount on January 10 with a 7:00 PM tip.
