Jackson Payne, recently returned from a LDS mission in South Korea, is training with the national Canadian gymnastics team in preparation for the 2016 Olympics in Rio de Janeiro.

The video above, produced by Gymnastics Canada, featured Payne and highlighted his inspiring comeback to gymnastics. Payne’s coach, Liang Cheng, former member of the Chinese national gymnastic team said,

I don’t think anybody in the world has done this before.

“The two years he left, it seems he never left,” Cheng explained. “We had very close contact, almost every week. We shared information with each other, and he keeps himself in shape.”

Payne is working toward his ultimate goal of qualifying for the 2016 Olympics.
