On Saturday, August 29, 2015, President Dieter F. Uchtdorf dedicated a new addition to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints’ Polynesian Cultural Center (PCC) in Hawaii.

The expansion to the PCC is the Hukilau Marketplace, which provides guests with traditional Polynesian dining, shopping, and native music and dance. Located on the same Hawaiian island as BYU-Hawaii, the marketplace will employ many students, according to Mormon Newsroom

During the dedicatory service, Uchtdorf said,

Here in Laie we have a wonderful moment where the Polynesian Center has been expanded, refreshed and renewed.

The expansion also includes a new Marriott Courtyard Oahu North Shore, providing additional accommodations closer to the PCC.
