2024 has been a year filled with blessings for members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints around the world. From the beginning, this year promised to be unforgettable, and it has not disappointed.

January: a global milestone

The year began with historic news: the Book of Mormon reached 200 million copies distributed! Each copy represents an opportunity for someone in the world to discover the message of Jesus Christ and find joy in His gospel.

March: a month of history and learning

Kirtland Temple

In March, the Church acquired theย Kirtland Ohio Temple, a sacred place that connects us to the roots of our faith. Additionally, the latest season of Book of Mormon Videos premiered, inspiring us to delve deeper into the scriptures.

April: temples and revelation

The month of April brought us an exciting look inside temples thanks to a special video. What better way to understand their eternal purpose! And, if that wasn’t enough, President Nelson announced theย construction of 15 new temples, bringing the total to 350.

May: Music for the soul and unity

May was a melodic month. The firstย 13 hymns of the new hymnalย โ€œHymns for Home and Churchโ€ filled our hearts with joy. In addition, Utah celebrated the creation of its first Spanish-speaking stake, an event that reinforces unity in our diversity.

June: Innovation and love in action

The gospel reached more people thanks to the first portable chapel in Latin America. With the love of Christ as its guide, the Church donated more than $55 millionย to improve the health of women and children in vulnerable communities.

July: Young adults and Olympic talents

Changes in the Young Single Adults (18-35 years) organization strengthened the bonds between them. Meanwhile, at the Paris Olympics, 14 Latter-day Saints shined with their faith and talent.

August: Learning and Beginnings

The General Handbook has been updated with valuable teachings on the care of garments and the role of young people in the Sacramental. A guide to strengthen our spiritual lives!

September: Music and Celebration

The month brought us more hymns to lift up our prayers, as the Tabernacle Choir announced its tour of Peru and Argentina. And most especially, we celebrated the 100th birthday of President Nelson, a leader who inspires us with his dedication to the Lord.

October: Renewal and Expansion

This month brought the reveal of 17 new temples and refreshed garment designs, reflecting care and purpose in our daily lives.

November: New opportunities and historic dedication

Single men over 40 can now serve as senior missionaries, and President Nelson dedicated the 200th temple. What a memorable moment!

December: A Glorious Closing

The year concluded with the creation of a new area in Canada and the celebration of 80,000 missionaries serving around the world. The thousands of baptisms performed this year are a testament to the joy and hope that the gospel brings.
