‘Light the World’ Donation Machines Reach More Than 100 Cities for Christmas
As you look for ways to bring hope and joy to others this holiday season, consider visiting a Light the World donation machine, where every donation helps those most in need.
Since 2017, these charity-focused vending machines, sponsored by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, have provided a special way to share the love of Jesus Christ.
Donation machines allow users to purchase food, clothing, medical supplies, and other essential items that will be delivered directly to vulnerable individuals and families.
Donation machines are in more than 100 cities around the world
This year, Light the World donation machines will be in 106 cities in 13 countries across 5 continents, including locations in Africa and Asia for the first time.
Since its inception, millions of items, with a total value of more than $32 million, have been donated through these machines, impacting lives and bringing light to communities around the world. The Church covers all operating expenses of the program, ensuring that 100% of each donation reaches those in need.
Participating organizations and donation machine locations in 2024
This year, more than 500 local and international organizations are participating in the Light the World initiative, including global organizations such as UNICEF, Save the Children, Red Cross, Red and World Food Program, committed to providing aid worldwide.
