The General Handbook Now Has an Artificial Intelligence Search Assistant
Can you imagine being able to ask a spiritual question and receive a clear answer, based on official teachings, in just seconds?
That is already a reality.
The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has launched a powerful new tool in its General Handbook: an artificial intelligence (AI) powered search assistant designed to help you minister with love, clarity, and inspired direction.
How does this wizard work?
This new wizard—which you can find in the Gospel Library app (version 7.2) and on ChurchofJesusChrist.org—analyzes your question and shows you a summary with relevant information directly from the General Handbook. This way, you can find what you need faster and with doctrinal support.
Important: Since this is an AI-powered tool, you should always verify the answers by checking the links provided by the assistant itself. Inspiration and personal study are still key.
Available in several languages
This feature is now available to those who log in with their Church account at:
- Spanish
- English
- Portuguese
- French
And the best part: it’s accessible to everyone. Just look for the wizard button in the lower right corner while reading the General Manual.
Other updates you should know about
In addition to this technological innovation, the Manual has also been updated with new instructions and resources for leaders, teachers, and members. Here are some of the most notable changes:
- New Guidelines for Elders Quorums and Relief Society Secretaries.
- Added sample assignments for Relief Society sisters.
- The HLJ 7 class is now called Valiantes
- A suggested schedule for daycare was included.
- New service activity ideas for children ages 7-10.
- Clear information about attending school.
- New references to the resource: “In the Way of the Lord,” which teaches how to care for members with temporary or emotional needs.
- The Relief Society and elders quorum are permitted to initiate referrals to Family Services.
- Added how to organize a missionary preparation course. And much more…
These updates are available in more than 30 languages, including Spanish, and will continue to be translated into more languages in the coming months. Thus, the restored gospel and the inspired guidance of the Manual reach hearts around the world.
