Recent Mormon Message Video Teaches the Importance of Selflessness During Trials

Mormon Channel released a mormon message video, “Reflections,” today, suggesting ways to approach trials.

The video, follows a young boy through his life and into adulthood as he is faced with the trials of getting along with his younger brother, getting into a minor car accident, and going through marriage and family struggles.

Throughout all of his trials, the man reacts with selfishness, which only furthers the difficulty of the trial. The man’s father counsels him through each trial, suggesting that maybe he should have patience, faith, and love for others.

The end of the video quotes Elder James B. Martino, saying, “In our trials, let us not become bitter or uncommitted, but let us follow the Savior’s example of becoming more earnest, more sincere, and more faithful. … Let us not complain, … let us serve others, and let us forgive one another. As we do this, all things will work together for good to us that love God.”
