A family in North Salt Lake lost their home earlier this month to a landslide. The family quickly escaped, forced to leave all of their belongings inside to be crushed by the mountain. The twelve people living in the home lost everything, and members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints are rallying together to help the family.

Local Latter-day Saints are ensuring that the family receives all of the essentials (food and clothing) as well as furniture and other items to help them get back on their feet. The family was told by their insurance company that they would not be able to help in any way.

According to The Davis Clipper, EaglePoint Development has told the family they will receive another plot in the subdivision for their new home. The developer for the subdivision is providing temporary housing for the family and starting another fund to help raise money to cover the cost of a house and some of the belongings the family lost in the accident.

Family members will be allowed to go into the collapsed home and retrieve whatever is salvageable (journals and photographs), however most items have been destroyed.
