Mormon Minute: Weekly LDS News Recap for February 6, 2015
LDS.netโs Mormon Minute recaps LDS news that happened during the week in the Mormon world. This week, we talk about: “Meet the Mormons” is now available to watch on TV and online, Trib Talk’s interview with Elder’s Christofferson and Oaks on last week’s press conference, and Lindsey Stirling’s latest music video.
0:09 – Meet the Mormons Released
Meet the Mormons was released on TV and online this week, making it available to watch in over one-hundred million homes in the U.S. Many major satellite, cable, and digital providers are distributing the film including Comcast, iTunes, and Google Play. DVD and Blu-ray copies will be available to buy beginning March 31, and the film will be on Netflix later this year.
0:30 – Elder Oaks and Christofferson Talk Non Discrimination
Elder Oaks and Christofferson sat down with the Salt Lake Tribuneโs trib talk to expound on last weekโs press conference on non discrimination and religious freedom. The two leaders answered questions from viewers and Oaks encouraged both sides of the debate to work together.
And part of what we’re talking about is learning how to live together in a respectful way. But at the same time, that doesn’t mean that others have to be coerced into adopting or following or consenting to what the law may permit.
1:06 – Lindsey Stirling Japanese Cover
And Lindsey Stirling has a new music video out, this time a cover of the widely popular 2011 Japanese song โSenbonzakuraโ by Kurusa.
