Los Angeles Mormons, Baptists and Alex Boye Join Together for Christmas Celebration

Members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints joined together with members from the Mount Moriah Baptist Church in Los Angeles for an evening of music as they celebrate the Christmas season.

Former Mormon Tabernacle Choir member, Alex Boye, entertained the 600 person crowd with Africanized songs before closing with “Mary Did You Know?” and “Silent Night.” Mormon Newsroom reports that the Celebration Mass Choir, from the Mount Moriah Baptist Church, sang Christmas songs and that Latter-day Saint members performed a violin and piano duet.

Pastor L. A. Kessee of the Bethany Baptist Church spoke of the evening, saying, “What I saw tonight was unity under the umbrella of Jesus Christ.”
