Providing for Syrian Refugees in Lebanon

973

Syrian refugees in Lebanon are going without many daily necessities, but fortunately there are people to help.

Living in a country where there are no jobs for the adult refugees, and no opportunities for the adults to send their children to school, refugee families are grateful for individuals who offer help.

In Mormon Channel’s video, “Providing for Refugees in Lebanon,” members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Beirut Lebanon Branch realize that not everyone has a comfortable life. These members aim to bring happiness to those suffering to help them have a better life. One volunteer said,

We serve others because it is what Christ taught us. Jesus Christ always helped the poor, He healed the sick and He had mercy on everyone.

One refugee mother explained that she feels both happy and sad when she receives help. “I feel happy because we have received help that we really need,” the woman said. “But at the same time I want to return the favor somehow.”
