God Works With Imperfect People
God is perfect, but He has always dealt with and worked through imperfect people. It feels easy to be critical of the prophet Brigham Young for example because of some of the things that were done during his time as president of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. If you are going to point out his imperfections, it is also important to remember that the prophets of old were not without fault. This isn’t to say that we should simply ignore the imperfections and mistakes of leaders in the history of the Church, but we also need to remember that we shouldn’t place our faith in man, but in God.
