Missy is a two-year-old dog with anxiety, especially on walks. She enjoys the first few minutes, but once she realizes she’s far from home—and surrounded by men, kids, and wheels—fear takes over. She was born during a harsh winter and never learned how to walk on a leash as a puppy. Now, she believes pulling and panicking is how to stay safe.

Her behavior mirrors how many people live. They stick with familiar habits, thinking, “This is just how I’ve always been,” or “I don’t need faith—I’ve made it this far.” But just like Missy, they may be operating from fear, not freedom.

Missy’s story is a reminder: we aren’t meant to just survive, God wants us to thrive. Faith, like good behavior, can be built. Growth is possible. And with trust, both dogs—and people—can learn to walk in peace.
