The Night I Tried to Burn the Book of Mormon — And What Stopped Me
Late one night, Jason Olson crept into his backyard with the Book of Mormon hidden under his shirt. Terrified his mother would find it, he had decided to burn it.
Just as he was about to flick the flame, he heard a quiet impression in his heart:
“Do not burn My book.”
He froze. The voice was unmistakable, peaceful, and powerful.
Jason realized the book might actually be holy. As he looked at it again, he saw it differently—not as a book about missionaries or Mormons, but as a message to the remnant of the house of Israel.
What began in fear turned into a quiet witness that this book could truly be from God.
