Here’s a bizarre but true stat: According to a Pew Research study, members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS) scored higher than any other Christian group in the U.S. on questions about lasers, Susan B. Anthony, antibiotics, Charles Darwin, and Moby Dick.

Yes, really.

It’s not just random trivia. The LDS Church places a strong cultural emphasis on education, missionary work, and lifelong learning. That may explain why members tend to excel in subjects ranging from science to literature.
