“There has developed this casual culture around wearing garments. A reason why this casual culture has developed is because when we think about garments and we think about the reason why, we think about modesty. Modesty is an element of wearing garments, but modesty is not the reason we wear garments. I can see how if you thought that was the reason… that we wear garments just for modesty… it would create this casual culture. Let’s be honest. You can be modest while not wearing your garments, so if you think that garments are just a measure of modesty, why would you wear them? I understand that. My hope in this podcast is to show you the deeper reasons for why we wear garments… because there are deeper reasons, deeper meaning, deep symbolism. It is honestly so cool.”
