New #WeAreSisters Video Empowers Women
In preparation for General Women’s Conference, the #WeAreSisters video promotes the worldwide sisterhood and features well-known Mormon women.
The video features Dawn Armstrong from “Meet the Mormons,” Tamu Smith from “Sistas in Zion,” Ellie Mae from “Genesis” and Ginger Johnson, founder of “Happy Chemo.”
Marjorie Desius, lead singer of the #WeAreSisters video, stated on her YouTube page that women have become less supportive and accepting of each other, influencing the creation of this video.
“We tend to forget that #WeAreSisters and that we are here for each other,” Desius said. “I was inspired to bring Emily Hill Woodmansee’s powerful words in ‘As Sisters in Zion’ to its true meaning.”
May this video remind us of who we are, and inspire us women to only practice more kindness to each other because we are all in this together.
