  1. Pretty much with indifference. I don't treat them any different than anyone else and would never think of being cruel...even toward the militant one's. I have some gay clients and they are very nice and they know I am LDS and are ok with it.
  2. I am currently reading (along with Rough Stone Rolling) Killing Lincoln and Killing Patton (both were gifts) and am about to re-read the Bruce R McConkie Story by his son Joseph Fielding McConkie....a very excellent read.
  3. I read it a couple of years back and am re-reading now. My initial impression was very favorable...now, not so sure. It lacks something....can't put my finger on it. I think it gives a good description of the early church, but as far as an intimate description of the Prophet...not so much
  4. It's pretty simple really, you share the gospel the same as you would with anyone else. The good news is for everyone and Christ's atonement can change ALL who humble themselves and come unto him.
  5. It is bothersome because we go to be fed by the Spirit and to hear the voice of men we sustain and believe are Prophets of God and are speaking the words that Christ himself would say if he were here among us. As if it is not bad enough to be harassed by the jackals outside the conference center who mock our sacred beliefs, now those who little by little have been drawn away by are attempting to do the same at conference. You expect unity and instead their are those seeking disunity.
  6. I have read (BRM) all of Mormon Doctrine, 1st and 2nd edition. The Messiah series, Doctrinal New Testament Commentary, A new Witness to the Articles of Faith and most every recorded talk he ever gave. Truly a spiritual giant among men..... I have never had a disagreement with any Apostle or Prophet and if I found myself in a position where I did....I would likely fast and pray and seek the Spirit in order to soften my heart so I could be more teachable.
  7. Of course not. The issue here is mental illness and medical malpractice.
  8. Of course, I am not judging him.I am judging the physicians that would be party to this and the society that supports it.
  9. Pretty different. How you believe that this costs us nothing financially ignores what it does to the decay of society and the influence it has on others struggling with similar illness. The cost that is worse than monetary and should be obvious is the destruction of Heavenly Fathers children, the Family and the advance of the Adversary's designs.
  10. Haha....I was just a wee lad meself! Yes, Bruce Jenner was a world class athlete! Not a frail daisy type fellow at all....or anything like the grandmother figure he is slowly becoming.
  11. Getting a tattoo and having your penis removed by a physician is a bit different don't you think? If I went to a DR and said I felt like I should have been born a one armed man, I would hope the Dr. would not remove the offending arm and would instead seek to treat the obvious problem. That said, if I came home with only one arm....shouldn't the Dr be held liable? Let's replace Bruce with instead a beloved family member and make it a bit more personal. I myself am a libertarian....
  12. That kind of freedom should be curtailed. It is without question mental illness and just as we would attempt to prevent other mentally ill people from harming themselves, the same should be done here. Attempting to become a woman by removing male sexual organs and using hormone therapy is criminal IMO and the patient is being abused by Dr's that should have there medical licenses revoked and face criminal prosecution.
  13. Growing up, I recall Bruce Jenner on the box of Wheaties cereal and recall his amazing decathlon Gold in the 1976 Olympics. I now read and apparently it is legit he is attempting to become a woman. I have no doubt that Mr. Jenner has some serious mental illness and shame on the medical community for treating this as anything other than a mental disorder. At what point do we hold physicians so-called accountable for not seeking to heal rather than allowing an obviously sick person to continue the slide to the point of no return?
  14. I wonder if the same outrage would be expressed if the "cake baker" said no to say a KKK rally cake or something similar. Would they have the right to say no if they found the KKK rally morally objectionable?
  15. I enjoy the wide variety of tatoos and piercings....
  16. Mrs Bytor is a High School Principal and assures me that many administrators keep a firearm close by.....(North Florida)
  17. I carry...sign or not.....especially Walmart I would imagine that had someone been carrying at the theater in Colorado there would be a few less dead people and more of the tax payers dollars available for other things than being spent on prosecuting the crazed killer.
  18. As mentioned I am fairly new to carrying. I have mostly kept a firearm in my car because I travel a good bit. But, I have spent quite a bit of time recently training and must say, that without proper training and consistent practice, I would not feel comfortable carrying a loaded hand gun. I suspect most people do the same if they carry on a regular basis, though there are surely some knuckleheads out there that carry without giving much thought. It has been my experience that most avid shooters are among the most safety conscience folks around and spend a great deal of time training. So much so, that when you view videos of people reviewing various firearms they almost without fail begin by a thorough safety check of the gun and if not they are usually dressed down very strongly by the viewers. I can see why Bini might feel uncomfortable. I think everyone should take an NRA pistol class whether they want to CC or own a pistol or not so that they can appreciate the great deal of effort that is put into safety and training and hopefully have a greater understanding of why people carry and are "pro second amendment".
  19. I have an OWB Sig retention holster and have wore it with my Sig before under a coat. Really sticks out otherwise....
  20. Anyone conceal carry a firearm on a regular basis? I have recently started carrying and am curious about how others carry. I sometimes pocket carry in a sticky holster a .380 (loaded with hollow points) or a Glock 26 in an IWB (in waist band) holster or a Smith & Wesson M&P Shield IWB. Really depends on what I am doing and wearing.
  21. Here's a true story about how a union was formed: There is unrest in the forest There is trouble with the trees For the maples want more sunlight And the oaks ignore their pleas The trouble with the maples (And they're quite convinced they're right) They say the oaks are just too lofty And they grab up all the light But the oaks can't help their feelings If they like the way they're made And they wonder why the maples Can't be happy in their shade There is trouble in the forest And the creatures all have fled As the maples scream 'Oppression!' And the oaks just shake their heads So the maples formed a union And demanded equal rights 'The oaks are just too greedy We will make them give us light' Now there's no more oak oppression For they passed a noble law And the trees are all kept equal By hatchet, axe and saw
