  1. They have already started..... They are trying as hard as they can to destroy them.
  2. Yea hockey fans! I was a long time Wings fan till Yzerman left. Now I'm all about the Avalanche :-)
  3. From what I understand- the kneel before the anthem was for their brother players in other teams to show solidarity of some sort. I had to laugh.... cause my die hard football fan husband is the same way. When we disagree on what game to watch....... I usually retreat to the bedroom and watch a hockey game. It's all good.
  4. I so agree. How often have we been told that we have the ability to make a choice, good or bad, but with the choice(s) made- you face the consequences - good or bad.
  5. OK, but I'm sorry to retract my fan support for the Broncos. The disrespect for our flag and country shown today went over the line. It hurts my heart, but I didn't watch the Marines bury my friend who gave his life while fighting for these overpaid, unappreciative for all they have..... uh athletes. I guess I'll root for the Dallas Cowboys this year...... a first time for me. They were told they would show respect for our flag or find another team to play on.
  6. I actually love cats myself...... except their stinky farts. I love large dogs....... I just really don't care for Doberman's.
  7. Zil- I'm sorry for your loss, there is something special about old dogs. They are adorable.
  8. Oh I can resist believe me. Those cute little things grow up :-)
  9. Mrmarkin- Hopefully by the time I can afford to go back to Germany- I will have this horrible allergy under control. German Shepherds are one of my favorite dogs. If you are still traveling in Germany, make sure you have a chance to have spaghettieis - my family and I loved it, and you never can find it here in the states.
  10. Wow.... never thought that wanting my daughter to choose to follow the Word of Wisdom, or the words of the prophets, or the advice of her bishop, was a un-Christ like desire for anything. Maybe I am wrong and should think about "rethinking" doctrine as it stands now..... I might be able to drink coffee again! I just have to believe... believe..... believe. Folgers here I come!
  11. This also could be a slippery area for some of the head strong group individuals we have as adult children who actually believe that society laws and morals are now "true". Now, since they truly believe it's true - they now truly believe it's doctrine. All we (I) can do is pray for said child to have a V8 moment and knock herself up along side her head when she realizes she should have made another choice.
  12. That's what happens when they start giving in to the first cute little dog hanging out of a purse.....it most likely will escalate into chaos of one form or another. It has happened to many other businesses.
  13. By ADA law that's all you can ask the owner to determine if it's a service dog or not. That should be a clue to the animal owner that only real, certified service animals are allowed in that area. And gripe they will! Interesting to know about only horses and dogs can be service animals..... I did not know that. Thanks for sharing.
  14. I agree that there are many uncivilized creatures that are allowed in public places, have sat next to my share of them through the years. UGH IMHO Those service dog wannabe owners should be given a ticket for misrepresentation of a service animal. A service animal has been trained and certified to help in a certain area or problem. They should be commended. The wannabe therapy, companion dogs may be cute, cuddly and provide some sort of emotional support that a BFF could provide...... BUT there is a line that has to be drawn. What is going to stop someone from really bringing a pig or a snake into a restaurant or from boarding a plane with their "therapy" or "companion" animal?
  15. I have no problems with a service animal that has been trained for a specific problem. I would gladly leave for someone with a service dog. What really stinks is I love dogs, but I really am allergic to dogs and have a hard time around them in an enclosed area. I don't think that a lot of people know that there is no dog that is hypoallergenic, (even if someone told you there was). And just like those with food allergies- I have to be very careful to avoid what will cause a reaction. It's always a little scary to feel your throat start constricting up. I really do enjoy breathing. I just wish that people would leave their dogs at home when they go out to dinner. I have a friend who lost her husband last year, and has a little furry friend she takes everywhere with her, and she understood my distress about the amount of animals in public places. Yet, that won't stop her from taking her longhaired dog on a plane when traveling.
  16. Funny thought - but no haven't ran into that problem yet.
  17. I have a beef with non service dogs allowed in restaurants. Just thought I would share that nugget of info.

  19. Blue Bloods- The Middle - Mike and Molly
  20. Thank you for posting this! I don't feel so alone in my "discussion" with a family member who is hell bent on justifying her use of weed for medical reasons. We went round and round and she just doesn't understand my concern.
  21. Well punch my kidney and color me blue....... all this time I thought you were a Pam.
  22. I had problems and then got locked out - contacted them for help and viola! Here I am! Thanks again Pam!
  23. Thanks for sharing the link Pam- I loved seeing the different pictures.
  24. LOL The only reason I know who David Beckham is: my two grown daughters educated their "pathetic" mother on who is what.
