  1. I too want to wish you a Happy Birthday. You hope that you were appreciated? Well, being appreciated is a tough task. No matter what, some people would never appreciate you. They only appreciate the people who are inside their clickish group. It happens online..and it happens in real life. Good & bad things always come to an end.. this perhaps is one of the better gifts you can give yourself on your birthday! :) As for me, you and soul and this chat site will hold a special spot in my life. During your stewardship as a mod, and soul as well, the two of you have helped me through rough waters. Our discussion about apples and oranges, and how they relates to life.... our discussions about "hypothetically speaking" and many others, will always remain a fond memory in my mind. Gwen, sometimes its not about who you did not mesh with... or did not appreciate you..... but rather those who did appreciate and mesh with you. You were a mod with open-mind, one who didn't exercise "unrighteous dominion", and one who opened the doors for others to come in and share their experiences. Some may say you were weak, others including myself, will say you were welcoming. So, happy unmoding, and happy birthday! Its a great combination! :) ~Good
  2. I was thinking about submitting my resume to be Bishop, but figured I should go back to church first.
  3. I think you should keep it quiet. Meet with both of them, then decide which one of the girls will be your back-up plan.
  4. My answers to your questions: 1. LDS social services counselling is just as good, or not as good, as any other counselling services. In my opinion, they do not have any special heavenly power that we may think they would-- just because of the LDS portion of their title. I think counselling is as good as what you put into it. Obviously, LDS social services and lds members have a foundation that is in common. 2. In my experience, which I do have with LDS social services, they are very objective. 3. In my experience, hardly any of the counselling was from a church or gospel standpoint. He didnt suggest reading the scriptures, or praying or stuff like that. 4. you absolutely can get a referral, even if you are inactive. I wish you the best of luck. Hope that the path you two go down will bring personal happiness and relief.
  5. lol 70 people are part of this amazing statistic???
  6. I am not a return missionary, so I can't make much of a comment, other than to say I like your avatar! Oh, and also, wish you the best in your planning, preparing and serving. :)
  7. Hello ZachBz, So, the day after having intercourse with your mormon girlfriend, you decided to go tell the bishop.. probably one of the most bravest things one can do. The only thing I know about you is what you typed... so based on what I have read, here is my opinion. You had intercourse with a mormon, probably knew that she wouldn`t be too happy about you spreading the news (or victory), probably knew you at least run a risk of losing her... probably knew about church consequences... yet, you still decided to. You continue to meet with the bishop frequently... each time you fall off the bandwagon, you jump back on and push again... all sounds pretty admirable to me! So you asked the question... what should you do. It sounds like your doing it already. I think so often in the church, we are in an environment that doesn`t allow for time. We are constantly reminded to seek the word, repent, do good works and endure because the time is at hand. We never know when the Second Coming is... maybe its tomorrow. Sometimes we need to step back a bit and allow methods... healing... processes to take place. I understand your predicament. In your eyes, you dont have time. Your mission papers is due soon. But honestly, what you are doing right now, to improve your situation, your lifestyle is remarkable. In my eyes, its remarkable. My opinion is to keep talking with the bishop...keep reading your scriptures...keep saying your prayers. Listen & Follow. I wish you the best and dont give up. Dust yourself off, stand back up..and keep going. GF
  8. To answer your question, no he did not have the operation reversed. He did do without makeup and womens clothing, but did still have breasts. Unfortunately, he was not able to control his "desires" and ended up being excommunicated nonetheless. But regardless. As for the handbook, I dont have a copy with me at the moment, but Im sure it says somewhere that the YM President must hold the priesthood. Sidenote: we had a ward clerk who was a female :) A sister missionary in fact.
  9. I have no idea either, but in regards to the priesthood... I know a man who, before baptism, underwent an operation to become a female. Later in life, he met the missionaries and got baptized. He ended up becoming Young Mens president. So, with regards to them not being able to hold the priesthood, I will assume that as YM President, he would have had to have received the priesthood.
  10. Is it something that would be an issue inside a temple recommend interview??? if not, than go for it.
  11. lol, I dont even understand that quote! lol I have no idea.
  12. I dont think its wrong for him to serve a mission because he feels like he has to. We often do things because we have to, whether we feel like it or not. Especially in the church, are we not regularly faced with "have to" situations rather than "want to" situations?
  13. Not everything is about a loving Heavenly Father, and what he will allow or not allow. As spirits, we still have free agency to choose and listen and obey. Why wouldnt a spirit remain in an area that is close to them. How about the evil spirits... the ones that dont listen and follow. What is stopping them from coming back to *earth* even if it is against the rules.
  14. very difficult to see. Often times, its not what you see that is imortant, but rather what you hear. I would encourage you to entice it...call on it... invite it in to communicate with you. Ghosts, once invited, will often take the invitation. If you do this, you may be able to solidify your evidence even more. Ghosts will often remain in an area that is very significant to them. Where they died, for example, if it was traumatic for them. Experiement and enjoy the opportunities to communicate with those who have passed on. Take more pictures, but do it with the lights off.
  15. I use to watch that show all the time! My fav part was the green slime!
  16. I am writing my first post, so that it doesn't keep saying to me "why not start with your first post today and become an active part of lds.net now!". And.. whats the difference between these posts and blogs.
