  1. Welcome! Glad your here and hope you enjoy the site! :)
  2. I just got mine today!! It is great! It has beautiful full-page pictures and coloring and activity pages you can photocopy. Very happy with it! :)
  3. This was nice. Thanks! The Mormon Tabernacle Choir did a version in general conference a few years back. I'm not talking about the one at this most recent April 2008 conference that they did (though it was nice) but one a few years back. If anyone can help me remember which conference that was, i'd really appreciate it.
  4. Just Googleing "Modest swimwear solutions" brought up some interesting blogs and websites. You might want to look through some of those. There was even a pattern if your good with a sewing machine.
  5. She is sooo sweet!! Congrats once again!
  6. Southern Utah is growing like wildfire, too, and oddly enough everyone moving in seems to be coming from Southern California. I guess they don't want to have to live under water once it drops into the ocean.
  7. Welcome! I hope you can find some answers you need here. :)
  8. Easy on the eyes, hard on the soul. There is a great song the primary children sing called If the Savior Stood Beside Me. "If the Savior stood beside me, would i do the things i do?" We adults tend to forget this principle sometimes (me especially). If you think the Savior would watch such a movie, by all means go ahead. But as a follower of Christ, i have no business watching anything that i know he would never view.
  9. Welcome, Cindy Lou Who!! (i hope you don't mind me calling you that, haha, you can call me whatever you want, with 5 older brothers i've heard just about everything)
  10. Born and raised and never lived anywhere else! :)
  11. Hooray!! Great news! I'm so glad everything went well. No drugs!! You are my hero!
  12. Welcome. Glad to have you. :)
  13. http://www.lds.net/user/gallery/view/name_connerific/id_6674/title_crochet-hat/ http://www.lds.net/user/gallery/view/name_connerific/id_6673/title_crochet-booties/ Not sure how else to put these on, so i stuck them in my profile and then used the insert image icon to put them here. Anyway, these are the hat and booties i mentioned before. Edit: I guess it didn't work. Oh well, go to my picture gallery on my profile and you will find them. Sorry.
  14. No courage necessary on my part! I'm proud of it! I'm working on a crochet sweater for my daughter. I let her pick out the color, so it's a horrible variegated yarn with hot pink and varying shades of purple (definitely not my thing), but she thinks they are the most beautiful colors in the world. I'm not done with it yet, though, working on the sleeves currently. I have a lovely (in my opinion) pair of light purple booties and a cute hat to match, both with pink ribbon trimming, for a baby girl. But i don't have anyone to give it to. Maybe i should just send it on over to MorningStar. I'll see if i can figure out how to post a picture of them.
  15. Have you guys heard this one? Wow! I think this is warning we still need to heed today.
  16. I noticed that, too, and was so excited i went and ordered one.
  17. Kudos to you Kona! You are doing the right thing even though it's hard. We always have choice, and we need to make the right one despite the difficulty level. I'll be praying for you. :)
  18. Perhaps it depends on how you define prophet? There were multiple prophets in the olden days because there wasn't the tecnology to bring all the people together. Each group had to have a separate prophet. I do believe we have multiple prophets today, though. Don't we sustain the apostles as "prophets, seers, and revelators?" They are all prophets, it's just that only one can hold all the keys at one time, so he is referred to as THE prophet. The Nephite structure of the gospel was different than what we do now because they were under the law of Moses. As far as holding all the keys that were available, it was probably Helaman who was THE prophet, but i do consider Captain Moroni a prophet also or at the very least prophet "material." He was just an awesome guy! Perhaps it would be good for you to point out that we sustain the apostles as "prophets" as well, so we do, even today, have multiple prophets. "Sometimes I long for the days of teaching Gospel Essentials where we stuck to fundamental principles and building testimonies." I'm with you on this one. This is the only reason i actually like being in primary. Way too much speculation spouted as doctrine. Though i do get some interesting comments even in primary sometimes.
  19. Welcome, Del. I hope you can find the answers you need and the help you desire. :)
  20. I was not offended either. I simply think sarcasm is best reserved for situations other than this, and i do think breeb and rico were very clear that it was a joke. But others were perhaps not so clear, and we do still need to be careful. I'm all for a group hug!
  21. Yes, of course you can share your testimony of what you believe. That is what i did before i gained my spiritual witness, and i used the term "i believe." Bearing witness, testimony... it's all the same. You have to try out the seed first (believe) and then when it starts to grow and you feel those stirings of the spirit you know, but it does have to continually be nourished until it becomes a perfect knowledge. Don't think i'm at perfect knowledge myself, but i know what i know.
