  1. Carlotta, I myself am a recent convert to the church. It took me a while of looking and listening to people to be able to know that I belonged here in this church. The best advice I believe that you can be given is that you need to pray and search for the answers that you need. You will be given understanding by most. The one thing that I can say is that you should make sure that YOU know that this church is true. Once you believe that, you just need time on the rest of the issues. Don't get baptized until you feel and heavenly father tells you that it is the right thing to do. Do not rush things. I had and still have a couple of issues with some of the things that are believed but I just study and I understand why they are how they are and I believe them. You just have to see the full view of the issues. Keep doing what you are doing, study, talk, listen. You will see the truth in your own time. Just give your mind some time to think it over. All of the issues you have will be shown in their true light and you will believe. Just don't close your mind to anything. Listen and learn with open eyes and ears!!! I wish you the best of luck and I assure you. Everything will work itself out in your mind in due time!!! Have a nice day!!!! Sunset

  3. Pretty much I am a girl who is waiting for her missionary. (Yes, I am waiting the whole two years) and I am the only one in my family who is LDS. And my parents would never forgive me if they didn't get to see me walk down the aisle in a pretty white dress. (my mother has come right out and told me that she would not give her blessing if she didn't get to see me walk down the aisle) Yet I know that a temple marriage is extremely important. I was curious as to whether or not anyone knew if it was acceptable to have a temple marriage and then a civil marriage without having to wait before having the civil marriage. We have discussed having a civil marriage and then waiting the year to have our marriage sealed and we would prefer not to do that so if anyone has any ideas or knowledge on the subject, I would greatly appreciate the help!!!! Thank you!!!!! Sunset
