  1. My husband I'Md me a while ago about this -because Bush came into where My husband works/ is based. He told me the story of the Female Reporter and her Shoes! It gave the guys something to chuckle about because they couldn't go off shift until Bush did his rounds!!
  2. I'm a new member, mother and I work, No one in my ward has anything to say about it, in fact, just last week we had someone from our LDS Employment Sevices come into Woman Relief to assist some women finding work
  3. Thanks!! He should be able to call, hopefully he will be home for a couple of weeks early in the new year!
  4. Hi! I'll be spending Christmas with the Inlaws! My husband is still in Iraq.
  5. I guess that is one way of looking at it but Yes it was interesting!!
  6. Hi Everyone I just wanted to share the fact that both my son and myself were baptized today. It was wonderful and I am so happy to be a Member of the Church of the Latter Day Saints! Angela
  7. No Ribena or Robinsons here, unless I go on Ft Jackson, then sometimes I get lucky. Standing in the queue - I'm getting used to saying standing in line My husband still laughs at me when I make a good old fry up including beans.
  8. Oh how I don't miss Tescos!!! Not! Everytime I went in there at lunchtime there was only 2 on the checkout and it was hectic!!! I still say Trolley instead of cart and everyone looks as me like i'm crazy!
  9. Thank you again! I just wanted to let you know that both my children and I had a WONDERFUL time at the church. I was a little nervous because my daughter was quite vocal on occasions, I took her out of the Sacrament meeting as I didn't want to disturb everyone. I was told not to worry about it and that they totally understood how little children are, and that I really did not need to take her out. My son loved Primary; my daughter who is 1 was also taken into primary but only because my neighbor who introduced me to the church is an assistant in the class. She took my daughter with her so I could concentrate on my Sunday school class and attend Women's Relief. This is the friendliest church that I have been to and I am so grateful that I have been introduced. I will definately be attending again, in fact to the new church as construction has just finished. I'm sure that I will have lots of questions over the coming weeks!!
  10. Thank you for your warm welcome! I will certainly update you on my experience in chruch tomorrow
  11. Hi I'm AJ and new to this group. Myself and my husband recently decided that we needed God in our lives again. LDS is very new to us. I will be attending church for the first time this Sunday. My husband is in the military and was deployed within the last 48 hours. We live in S.C, but I am originally from the England. We have 3 children, a yours, mine and ours situation. My husband has a daughter who is 5 years old, she lives with her mother. My son is 10 years old and our daughter is 1 year old, both live with us and will be attending church with me. I joined the group to make friends and learn more about LDS AJ
