  1. My sister has been engaged for 9 months and set to be wed in the Temple of June 2011. 1 week ago her fiance said he doesn't feel ready....he took 3 days with no contact to "think about things" but after those 3 days he confesses that he never even thought about there future. To make a long story short, this guy has a very troubled past and was part of a 'goth' group before he joined the church, which is when he met my sister b/c she was part of the discussions. He doesn't do the necessary things to get married into the temple and isn't talking about his feelings but my sister is stubborn and is desperate to hold on: Her ex boyfriend had dumped her after 2 years of dating(and marriage talk...they also met during his discussions) and now this? She is dying inside. I told her to talk to her bishop about this but it's like she is trying to fix it herself. How do I help her? Is there any type of list for LDS members on what to do in this situation?? I am genuinely worried for my sisters emotional well-being. She was talking about "giving up" on life. Help me, Help her. Please!!
  2. In my class the lesson (as most of u) this week is Remembering Jesus Christ when we take the Sacrament. I did find a small section in the Lamb of God Video about the Last supper but does anyone know any other video that has the story? Plz help asap!
  3. Me and my class (ages 7-8. 5 kids) are in charge of Sharing time on aug 9. Our monthly theme is "Temple blessings unite families" and the weekly gopsel principle to focus on is: "I will prepare now to go to the temple." I am somewhat shy and don't like getting up in front of all those people; mostly the adults. I want to play a game, yet make sure the kids learn something. I also want to incorporate my kids from the class in it as well. But I'm having a hard time coming up with anything. Any help, would be so great.
  4. I know soooo many ppl who has been in the preparation of this. I will talk to them and see what they can give to help.
  5. I just moved to Ontario a short while ago...I've been a member of this ward for 3 weeks now, and although that's not enough time to say whether or not i like it, I don't like it. i am always trying to find excuses not to go. I am only 21, and the youngest R.S Member is in there 40's. I feel like I don't belong and I am singled out. I know that the church is true but that's not enough for me. I feel like I am slowly losing my testimony and I no longer feel the spirit at church. I do not have a calling yet, home teachers or visiting teachers. I don't know any of these ladies and the R.S Pres isnt reaching out to me. Possibly I should reach out to her and ask for help but I am super shy, and I think that's her responsibility, not mine. Can someone tell me if im wrong, or offer helpful advice?
  6. Hello. I signed up early this morning at 1 am....I got really into the site and decided to join.... I've been a member my whole life, and im 21 yrs old.I've been married for 2 years, and do not have any children yet. I joined here to make some LDS friends, and to learn more about the church and hopefully gain a stronger testimony.
  7. Its not a girls camp...theres boys and girls. Of course theres lots of leaders around. Sleeping is arranged by gender and ward. It's very safe.
  8. Ok, EVERYONE needs to know about Moronis Quest!!! And since i was there twice, I'll tell you!! First of all i cannot believe someone said its not a spiritual experience. It was the most spiritual experience I have ever had in my whole life. It's such a huge camp that it only takes place every 4 years. There are tribe leaders, who are prayed about and inspired, and every youth ages 14-18 are also prayed about and placed into a tribe. Every tribe leader picks a name, usually funny, but church related(example: My 1st tribe was Anti-Cavitite-Dentites..my tribe leader was a dentist). We all meet Friday morning, meet our tribe leader and everyone else there(there was usually about 200+youth..and that was just the stake 14-18!)We would build travious, and spend the day hiking, on a pioneer trek. It was always so much fun. Sat and Sun were filled with re enactments from the New Testament. This helped so much with understanding it. Funny at times, you could always feel the spirit. It was so awesome. Everyone was always happy there. Everyone I know who's gone calls it Zion. It's just that awesome!! Sunday is the most spiritual day of re enactments. We re enact the darkness, which is super scary and super real. Then Christ comes(of course someone is dressed up) but that doesn't matter b/c the spirit is so strong and no one has a dry eye. Ever. Moroni s quest has changed so many ppls lives and that is why the youth in the Medicine Hat, Alberta, Canada stake is so incredibly strong. I cannot fully testify to you of how spiritual that camp is. I think every stake in Canada should do this. It's such a great idea. There is so much more into it then what I said here, but i could seriosuly write a book about it, there so much preparation, so much going on, so much to feel, and so much fun. It's insane in an awesome way. In my opinion no one has the right to say that they don't think Moronis Quest is not a spiritual experience when they havn't been. I feel offended by that, because that was the hugest feeling ever...SPIRITUAL!!
