  1. Simple answer which has already been given. You can buy garments even if you don't have a current temple recommend. Problem solved.
  2. I haven't ignored your statements. I just think you are very narrow in your thinking, and I reject your authority when it comes to church decisions.
  3. In your opinion. Which goes against the actions of the church. I think I will still with the "unreliable"
  4. I'm saying the Lord knows more than you do.
  5. I'm going back to your original comment. The difference is, the church doesn't have teenagers and young adults leaving the church in droves because they are pedophiles, polygamists, abortionists or smokers.
  6. No, I think you don't understand the gospel at all though. And I will pray for you.
  7. I never said one thing about approval of their sins. Jesus hung out with them, and the Choir sung with them because they love them.
  8. Not really. There are entire sects of fundamentalists who believed as you believe now.
  9. I trust the church's judgement over yours.
  10. That we know of. And now we know that His church did a concert with homosexuals.
  11. And it came to pass, as Jesus sat at meat in the house, behold, many publicans and sinners came and sat down with him and his disciples I guess you can choose the sin, or decide if having dinner is "hanging out" but he certainly didn't shun them.
  12. You don't think Jesus hung out with whores?
  13. It comes from a crisis within the church. Gay members are leaving. And it's pretty clear the church is making efforts to not shun them, and to keep them active and involved. At least that's the message I am reading from all of the church's activities of the last few years.
  14. Clearly the First Presidency is doing very deliberate outreach to the gay community.
  15. I don't know. But I bet Jesus would attend. And I know that the Lord approved this event.
  16. You know what I think? I think the sin of abandoning your children is a greater sin, and I believe the church thinks so too, particularly those who's children were born in the covenant. And that is the crisis that is facing the church right now.
  17. You can for special concerts as a guest performer or conductor. Yes.
  18. You're claiming he didn't know? I bet he gave a directive for it to happen. Next you'll be telling me he didn't authorize the gayandmormon.com website.
  19. No, society has. The church still condemns premarital and extramarital sex, but they don't exclude people from involvement with the choir because of it.
  20. I bet they would do a concert with a well known celebrity with an active and somewhat promiscuous sex life. In fact, I can probably give examples.
  21. No, but I think the current mouthpiece of God is.
  22. We've already normalized premarital sex. And yet, we don't shun people who lived together before marriage, or even those living in sin, as it were.
