  1. It's a lot better than the Left Behind books. I've read both series.
  2. Anyone read the Seventh Seal triology? I loved the books and just wanted to know if anyone else did.
  3. the book 50 Signs of the Times will tell you where in the scriputures you can find it... so it's a good place too look. it has ones from the Bible etc. It's a really good book. Did you need a list of ones I've found in Rev? Also I recommend you get the introduction to the Book of Rev by Richard Draper. He only talks about Rev. Some signs I've seen: a Dark Red Moon. That would be good for an art project. Pictures from the tsumni or earth quake. Pictures from the current war in the Middle East.
  4. Working on Sunday to provide for your family is not wrong. It's not breaking the Sabbath. I learned that the hard way... I kept refusing jobs. And then one day when fasting and praying I happened to come across a passage in the Bible. Luke 15-4. And I knew then that it was not a sin nor breaking the Sabbath. Breaking the sabbath is when you willfully seek employement so that you can't go to church; or when you seek activities that prevent you from attending. Or you shop for non-necessity items. How many nurses, fireman, police offers work sundays? I never once thought they where breaking the Sabbath. It's a requirement for thier job. And 99% of jobs will let you have the hours you need off to attend church if you request it.
  5. I didn't go to LDSBC, or BYU but I did move from a missionary state to Utah. Just tell her it's really not any different than her home state, just it's a bigger playing field. For better and for worse.
  6. There are too numerous signs. I have the book 50 Signs too, and it even says there where many more, but he stuck with 50. And yes, it included ones in the Book of Mormon and from LDS prophets. I recommend just picking a dozen or so and go from there. Use ones you can find ways to relate current events too. Make it more interesting that way. Also pick some other faiths believe in. Like the Pope of the Olive Branch being the pope just before the final Pope (the one what will be here when Christ comes.)
  7. Just wondering.... my thought is that the Law of Consecration, and Socialism/Communist is different. The Law of Consecration still has self governing, while socialism is where those in charge say who gets what, who is poor and who is needy. In the Law of Consecration it's up to you to decide how much your family needs (you still have your agency), it's not dictatored to you. In communism a dictator decides. The people give up freedom of choice. I had more thoughts.. but my mind just went blank.
  8. Prophesies Yet To Be Fulfilled Lamanites to blossom as a rose - D&C 49:24 I think that is happening/happened. And the rainbow.. if you start the new year with the Jewish new year yes, i've seen a rainbow. If you go by Jan 1, nope.
  9. This is my understanding of it: “Work for more government intervention and control of the business activities of the people. In this way the American people will accept Communism without knowing it.” - Joseph Stalin From what I'm hearing that's the goal behind it.
  10. Global Warming is in the Book of Rev. Check out Rev 16 ver 8-9 >=D
