  1. I would like to know everything about tallit, please ! Thank you
  2. Luke 20:27-38 27 Then came to him certain of the Sadducees, which deny that there is any resurrection; and they asked him, 28 Saying, Master, Moses wrote unto us, If any man's brother die, having a wife, and he die without children, that his brother should take his wife, and raise up seed unto his brother. 29 There were therefore seven brethren: and the first took a wife, and died without children. 30 And the second took her to wife, and he died childless. 31 And the third took her; and in like manner the seven also: and they left no children, and died. 32 Last of all the woman died also. 33 Therefore in the resurrection whose wife of them is she? for seven had her to wife. 34 And Jesus answering said unto them, The children of this world marry, and are given in marriage: 35 But they which shall be accounted worthy to obtain that world, and the resurrection from the dead, neither marry, nor are given in marriage: 36 Neither can they die any more: for they are equal unto the angels; and are the children of God, being the children of the resurrection. 37 Now that the dead are raised, even Moses shewed at the bush, when he calleth the Lord the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob. 38 For he is not a God of the dead, but of the living: for all live unto him.

  4. Thank you for this words ... I believe he is trying to show that scripture and reason support the notion that important ancient religious text were written upon plates of metal ... Yes, that's my point ! Thank you
  5. Oh that my words were now written! oh that they were printed in a book! hat they were graven with an iron pen and lead in the rock for ever! Job 19:23-24 Now go, write it before them in a table, and note it in a book, that it may be for the time to come for ever and ever: Isaiah 30:8 And the LORD answered me, and said, Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it. Habakkuk 2:2 In the scriptures are some verses that give us a hint that they also write with ''iron pen'' ! Thank you
  6. Let me give you something to think, how could they know that the law was engraved on the plates of brass ?! And Moses wrote this law, and delivered it unto the priests the sons of Levi, which bare the ark of the covenant of the LORD, and unto all the elders of Israel. And Moses commanded them, saying, At the end of every seven years, in the solemnity of the year of release, in the feast of tabernacles, When all Israel is come to appear before the LORD thy God in the place which he shall choose, thou shalt read this law before all Israel in their hearing. Gather the people together, men, and women, and children, and thy stranger that is within thy gates, that they may hear, and that they may learn, and fear the LORD your God, and observe to do all the words of this law: And that their children, which have not known any thing, may hear, and learn to fear the LORD your God, as long as ye live in the land whither ye go over Jordan to possess it. Deut 31:9-13 Example in Nehemiah 8 Thank you
  7. Oky, just want to know about the scripture, were they engraved on the plates or on the scroll. When Moses wrote all the words of the Lord...Ex 24:4, ... he wrote it in the book, ...the book of the covenant ...Ex 24:6... Did he wrote on the scroll or on the plates ? What does the word ''the book'' mean, the plates or the scroll ? If he wrote on the scroll, the scroll would not be preserved, it would decay because he sprinkled the book with the blood ... Ex 24:4-8 ; Heb 9:19 ... For when Moses had spoken every precept to all the people according to the law, he took the blood of calves and of goats, with water, and scarlet wool, and hyssop, and sprinkled both the book, and all the people ... What do you say ... was it written on the scroll or engraved on the plates ? If it was written on the plates, how could Lehi and Nephi know this ? Thank you
  8. How could Lehi and Nephi know that the scripture (the old testament) was engraved on plates of brass ? For behold, Laban hath the record of the Jews and also a genealogy of my forefathers, and they are engraven upon plates of brass. 1. Ne 3:3 And I also knew that the law was engraven upon the plates of brass. 1. Ne 4:16 Thank you
  9. Reason I post verse is because some bible translations use word servant insted Son as it is in KJV Bible. Can some one tell me why is used in other bible translations word servant insted Son ?
  10. You forget to add ''and of Jacob''. The God of Abraham, and of Isaac, and of Jacob, the God of our fathers, hath glorified his Son Jesus; whom ye delivered up, and denied him in the presence of Pilate, when he was determined to let him go. OK. Tell me, do you realy see that the scripture somehow contradicts this line of thinking, as you have sad. Can you explain it ? Like to learn more !
  11. Any comment on verse Act 3:13 ? The God of Abraham, and of Isaac, and of Jacob, the God of our fathers, hath glorified his Son Jesus; whom ye delivered up, and denied him in the presence of Pilate, when he was determined to let him go.
  12. Are there prophecy verses in Bible that saying about lands of America ? I have find one page ... The Two Sticks Ten Biblical Proofs of the Book of Mormon Can some one tell me more, please. Thank You

  14. When you study scriptures ''what questions do you use as a guaide that you come to the point with verses, logical and spiritual answers'' ? I use questions like, who, what, when, why, how, where, arheological evidences and historical events that are connected with scriptures. What criterion questions do you use ?
  15. Can you explain word ''but is a personage of Spirit.'' in verse D&C 130:22 ?
  16. 5 Behold, I am he that gave the law, and I am he who covenanted with my people Israel; therefore, the law in me is fulfilled, for I have come to fulfil the law; therefore it hath an end. (3. Ne 15:5) (3. Ne 9:15-22) 15 Behold, I am Jesus Christ the Son of God. I created the heavens and the earth, and all things that in them are. I was with the Father from the beginning. I am in the Father, and the Father in me; and in me hath the Father glorified his name. 16 I came unto my own, and my own received me not. And the scriptures concerning my coming are fulfilled. 17 And as many as have received me, to them have I given to become the sons of God; and even so will I to as many as shall believe on my name, for behold, by me redemption cometh, and in me is the law of Moses fulfilled. 18 I am the light and the life of the world. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. 19 And ye shall offer up unto me no more the shedding of blood; yea, your sacrifices and your burnt offerings shall be done away, for I will accept none of your sacrifices and your burnt offerings. 20 And ye shall offer for a sacrifice unto me a broken heart and a contrite spirit. And whoso cometh unto me with a broken heart and a contrite spirit, him will I baptize with fire and with the Holy Ghost, even as the Lamanites, because of their faith in me at the time of their conversion, were baptized with fire and with the Holy Ghost, and they knew it not. 21 Behold, I have come unto the world to bring redemption unto the world, to save the world from sin. 22 Therefore, whoso repenteth and cometh unto me as a little child, him will I receive, for of such is the kingdom of God. Behold, for such I have laid down my life, and have taken it up again; therefore repent, and come unto me ye ends of the earth, and be saved. 8 And he shall be called Jesus Christ, the Son of God, the Father of heaven and earth, the Creator of all things from the beginning; and his mother shall be called Mary. (Mosiah 3:8)
  17. I personaly like the first point of view on those added verses. The Book Of Mormon tell us much more, particulary in chapters 1 Nephi 13 and 1 Nephi 14 but we must understand through scriptures and history times point of view that the antichrist is a person as a king, leader over his people and his kingdom, state that exist even today. Both scriptures, the Bible and The Book of Mormon, telling us about visions that prophets have recive, that he the anticrist will come on power. This realy hapend in history times and as it was predicted also, the anticrist lose his ruling kingdom over world kingdoms and his power over them, just before Joseph Smith birth. Today, the anticrist exist, not as the ruler over kings and kingdoms but he deceive his people and world leaders from his kingdom with false doctrine that he is Christ, make them blind and hard-hearted for living Christ and his true church, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. There are evidences that history events comfirm those visions, that prophets have recive, with historical facts. Sorry, please don't be blind, just read scriptures and compare visions with historical events facts.
  18. Yes, thank you Maureen. I am not so good in english, thank you for your understanding.
  19. Just want to show what bring me to read KJV. In Num 11:25 it talk about ''they prophesied, and did not cease.'' but in our Slovenian bible it is translated ''That they latter did not do anymore.''The same thing here .... the story I see this with KJV totaly diferent.
  20. 2 Nephi 31:21 21 And now, behold, my beloved brethren, this is the way; and there is none other way nor name given under heaven whereby man can be saved in the kingdom of God. And now, behold, this is the doctrine of Christ, and the only and true doctrine of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost, which is one God, without end. Amen. Alma 11:44 44 Now, this restoration shall come to all, both old and young, both bond and free, both male and female, both the wicked and the righteous; and even there shall not so much as a hair of their heads be lost; but every thing shall be restored to its perfect frame, as it is now, or in the body, and shall be brought and be arraigned before the bar of Christ the Son, and God the Father, and the Holy Spirit, which is one Eternal God, to be judged according to their works, whether they be good or whether they be evil. Mormon 7:7 7 And he hath brought to pass the redemption of the world, whereby he that is found guiltless before him at the judgment day hath it given unto him to dwell in the presence of God in his kingdom, to sing ceaseless praises with the choirs above, unto the Father, and unto the Son, and unto the Holy Ghost, which are one God, in a state of happiness which hath no end.
  21. I ask the same question as here in these thread one of missionary and the reply was ''What about verse in Alma 12:31 ? Because they transgressed the first commandments they becoming as Gods and would you also read verses from Alma 42:5,8.''
  22. Very good answer and I just want to add these verses from the gospel of John 3:1-21 ! 1 THERE was a man of the Pharisees, named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews: 2 The same came to Jesus by night, and said unto him, Rabbi, we know that thou art a teacher come from God: for no man can do these miracles that thou doest, except God be with him. 3 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. 4 Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother's womb, and be born? 5 Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. 6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. 7 Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again. 8 The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit. 9 Nicodemus answered and said unto him, How can these things be? 10 Jesus answered and said unto him, Art thou a master of Israel, and knowest not these things? 11 Verily, verily, I say unto thee, We speak that we do know, and testify that we have seen; and ye receive not our witness. 12 If I have told you earthly things, and ye believe not, how shall ye believe, if I tell you of heavenly things? 13 And no man hath ascended up to heaven, but he that came down from heaven, even the Son of man which is in heaven. 14 ¶ And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up: 15 That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life. 16 ¶ For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. 17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. 18 ¶ He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. 19 And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. 20 For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved. 21 But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.
