I just bought my first set of garments 2 weeks ago and did NOT get any discount. Must be an old policy. I did get a discount on temple clothes though.

I love this series. I read the first 5 and kinda got stuck in the 6th(I think it was, really really large one). I picked it back up after reading a couple "lighter" books and then finished the whole series. I was sad for it to be over.

In my ward, we have a temple night every month. I'm not sure how full it is, but I know a lot of people go. My husband and I are getting ready to go to the temple for the 1st time in the next couple weeks. I'm a convert and he's been a member all his life but became active again when I joined in Nov. 08. It's a pretty neat thing for us and I know a lot of our member friends and family in the area will be there. We're fortunate enough to live around 20 min from the Seattle Temple.

Loved the books.... read all 4 in about a week. Movie was ok... I also really enjoyed The Host. Berean, I also really wanted her to end up with Jacob/werewolf... Glad I wasn't the only one. :) I agree that the writing in the Twilight series is only sub par, but I loved the story. Even though the Narnia series is made for young kids, I just picked it up and started reading it again and am really enjoying myself. But I also really love complex and deep stories that are much more for adult readers. I guess I'm the oposite of a book snob. I'll read just about anything.

Welcome! I also just joined this site and am also in the Seattle area. Bothell to be exact. I am a recent convert as I was just baptised on 11/22/08 and I totally understand a lot of the feelings you've mentioned. Also, speaking of deseret book, I read a ton and could probably recommend some books from there that you might enjoy. :)

It is a nice area. I grew up here. :) Yeah I LOVED coffee, was one of my fave things to drink. I do miss it. There are some nice houses up here. But we live quite modestly and have a roomate. :) Thanks for the welcome. It's nice to know there are people who've been through all this before. :)

Hi, I'm Katie. I figured I should introduce myself. I'm from Bothell, Wa. I was baptised on the 22nd of November 2008, so I'm a pretty new member. My other half's family are members, but none in my family. I really love the church, I'm trying to strengthen my testimony, but the lifestyle changes are diffcult for me sometimes. Mostly because all my friends are non members so it's a little lonely when you dont want to be around drinking and partying. Well I hope to talk to some of you guys on here and maybe make some new friends.... :)
