  1. Okay so if I were to look at my future...why would I strive to live God's commandments and live my life the best I can...if I am already guilty of all commandments and can never possibly reach God's standards. Heavenly Father is not expecting us to be perfect. He knows we aren't. But we strive to do the best we can to live those commandments. We are human we are not God. That is what repentence is for. If I didn't know I have that wonderful thing there would be nothing to work towards at all. You are making it sound as if all of us are lost and there is no hope.
  2. Do you not believe in repentence? And I for one have never been an adulterer thank you very much.
  3. I apologize for asking you that question but I wanted to know where you were coming from. I like Yediyd feel it is both. We have the privilege of salvation through the atonement of Christ. However our acts, our faith, our service to others, our willingness to obey the Commandments of our Heavenly Father will bring us salvation.
  4. What do you feel it is Clay?
  5. Oh please....I have teenage boys and something like that would be nothing more than horseplay. Inappropriate of course but in no way deemed sexual. Especially if they were just running down the hall swatting behinds. Give me a break. Hey Brother Dorsey, I have been to McMinville many times. I have an aunt and many cousins that live there.
  6. LOL!!!! Very astute observation! I thought I was the only person here who felt like this man has a fetish about all things sexual. In psychology one might ask why would you take notice of that? Maybe because it is quite obvious.
  7. Okay now we want details. How did the wedding go? What were the hi-Lights? Where did you go on a honeymoon if any?
  8. What is the name of one?
  9. That is awesome Susie. Thanks for sharing.
  10. Fiannen I knew if you added anything there would be SOMETHING about someone getting naked.
  11. It didn't make me sad either. Actually I found it rather boring.
  12. I agree with Yediyd. I too am truly sorry that you have had bad experiences. But I also agree with PC. I've met many Muslims who are wonderful people. Very law abiding, friendly, positive people. I also don't think that PC meant any insult to you personally in his comments. PC would never do that. Attack someone directly.
  13. Why thank you. The feeling is very mutual.
  14. I thought they were cute. When you think about it and the movies you see...it is so true.
  15. I thought these rang sooooo true. It is always possible to park directly outside any building you are visiting. -A detective can only solve a case once he has been suspended from duty. -If you decide to start dancing in the street, everyone you bump into will know all the steps. -Most laptop computers are powerful enough to override the communication systems of any invading alien civilization. -It does not matter if you are heavily outnumbered in a fight involving martial arts - your enemies will wait patiently to attack you one by one by dancing around in a threatening manner until you have knocked out their predecessors. -When a person is knocked unconscious by a blow to the head, they will never suffer a concussion or brain damage. -No one involved in a car chase, hijacking, explosion, volcanic eruption or alien invasion will ever go into shock. -Police Departments give their officers personality tests to make sure they are deliberately assigned a partner who is their total opposite. -When they are alone, all foreigners prefer to speak English to each other. -You can always find a chainsaw when you need one. -Any lock can be picked by a credit card or a paper clip in seconds, unless it''''s the door to a burning building with a child trapped inside. -An electric fence, powerful enough to kill a dinosaur will cause no lasting damage to an eight-year-old child. -Television news bulletins usually contain a story that affects you personally at that precise moment you turn the television on.
  16. I finally got it to work. It was....ummm...interesting.
  17. Are you finally admitting to being old?
  18. Most of the chapels I have been in have "mother's rooms." Where mothers can go and feed their babies. The meetings are usually piped into the room. Therefore the mother misses none of the meeting itself.
  19. In case you didn't see my other thread. I talked to SF last night. Nick is doing great and is home. She will post more later.
  20. So I guess that is an admission that you still wear them?
  21. I have not been totally banned from doing laundry, but there are restrictions on what I can do and can't do. The big question I have though Pale. Are you allowed to wash your plaid pants?
  22. As frustrating as they can be (and believe me I have severe issues with one) I'm actually enjoying my teenagers. I've been surprised many times by the logic and understanding they have of social issues, political issues and the world in general. It's a tough time to be a teenager. I thought I had it bad when I was one. My years as a teenagers was NOTHING compared to what they now go through. We live in a pretty afluent area. We are not afluent mind you...but it's hard to get them to understand at times why they don't have the same things as those they associate with. But as they are getting older I think they are understanding and appreciating more of what they have. At least I hope so.
  23. I suppose being family, I do have to give a little.
  24. Yep I heard she couldn't even put the book down long enough to sit and enjoy lunch with grandparents today. Wow, word travels fast! Yeah, grandma wasn't happy about that part of our visit, I suspect she also wasn't happy that we didn't pack all their house up for the the move while we were there, either. And why not? What was your problem there?
