  1. San Diego, California is an awesome city to visit. But then again I'm very biased.
  2. He's shooting to be #2. Since Ray has been inactive for quite some time it won't be long.
  3. Would that not be animal cruelty?
  4. What kind of attitude is that mister?
  5. Now keep posting so you can beat Snow
  6. That's the way I have understood it as well.
  7. I agree with everyone. In all my 50 years (oops I mean 29 years) of being a member I've never heard anything of the sort about ruling over Jesus nor the phrase "burn in Hell" in a Sacrament meeting.
  8. Awww come on Dr T. Put her out her misery. Be a friend. Or is it that she said she once had a cat? Now that's just plain spiteful.
  9. Dogs for sure rule. Only good cat is a ...... well....you get my jest. I love my dog. She has more personality than alot of people I know.
  10. I agree with you Dr. T. To me the parable of the 10 virgins is being prepared to meet the Savior again. I don't read anything to do with bringing converts into it at all.
  11. I think it goes back to the subject of another thread. Tolerance. We can all be friendly in our disagreements. We don't all agree on every subject. That's what makes threads so interesting. Different points of view.
  12. I can hear it now. Dr. T is singing "In my own little corner in my own little chair...I can be whatever I want to be. Even a cat owner."
  13. Call me "slow" but I didn't understand how it would work and when I checked out his link...I got more confused! If someone could get me to have a clue...I might be game to try it. Heck if I know. I was confused too but what the hey? It will be just like the real game you'd play at parties (if you've played it). One of us, randomly, is the Mafia. I'll be the person in charge to manage the game. I will prompt the Mafia, the Mafia will tell me who they want to kill, and *poof* that guy will be killed. The other people in the game (this will also include the Mafia, masquerading as a townsfolk) will try to determine who the Mafia is and execute the person (this will be done by nomination and vote--anyone can accuse someone, but to be voted for, they will have to be seconded. Once two are seconded, we can vote and then execute). Town wins if Mafia (all--there might be two of them) is executed, Mafia wins if all the townspeople are dead. Count me in. Sorry about us taking over your thread with another subject.
  14. I'm sure all you had to say was "MEOW" and they knew you were no longer in denial. Is that what you said?
  15. That week at cat rehab didn't help did it?
  16. Call me "slow" but I didn't understand how it would work and when I checked out his link...I got more confused! If someone could get me to have a clue...I might be game to try it. Heck if I know. I was confused too but what the hey?
  17. In biblical times constant effort was needed to ensure that an adequate amount of oil was maintained in lamps. In our day we must exert constant effort to remain temple worthy. In the parable the virgins were not able to enter the door without oil. In our day neither can we enter the door of the temple without a recommend.
  18. This is what I found in researching. I'm still looking at other talks and such that general authorities have given concerning this subject. Elder McConkie explains that “from evening to midnight there was no direct word from the bridal party. At midnight, the most unlikely of all hours for a joyous celebration to begin, the cry goes forth to a sleeping world.” Likewise, the Lord’s Second Coming will be “more distant than the early saints supposed.”5 The Lord will come again in a dark “midnight” hour when the world is ripe in iniquity and when for the “elect’s sake those days shall be shortened” (Matthew 24:22). In such a dark time, what a truly stunning moment it will be when the Light of the World appears and darkness is banished!

    Wb Dr. T

He is very much in denial. Makes me wonder though...this time he's been away. Perhaps he was in cat denial rehab. I'm hoping then that he's feeling so much better.
  20. Welcome back Dr. T. We've missed you. Hope you are back to stay for awhile. By the way.....HOW'S THE CAT?
  21. I totally agree with you. Like I said earlier...the show will never be the same without him. And about a later post about his looks. I only hope I look as good as him when I am 80 years old. I think he is one handsome man. Sorry, I love Rosie. I think she is fabulous. Did you see the new Arts School she just built for inner-city children in New York that just opened? Why isn't the press covering that? She is an honest, loving, energetic, and compassionate person who isn't afriad to speak her mind and I love that. She gives more love than you'll ever see, because all the press does is show the "fat, loud-mouthed lesbian." I think she's right-on about the war and the Bush administration. I'm sure I'm a lone voice here. But I defend Rosie, even when others do not. Emma My favorite Rosie YouTube: Emma You know, Rosie got away with what many Asians considered an ethnic slur against Chinese but Don Imus got fired. Wonder why? On another note, personally I couldn't care less about who is hosting a game show or CBS News. However, I wonder what would happen to the ratings of Naked News if Rosie were hired there an an anchor? EWWW the mental image makes me gag.
  22. Okay it's sad enough that Bob Barker retired from The Price is Right. The show will never be quite the same. But to find he is now backing Rosie O'Donnell to replace him....ugh. If that happens I will never watch that show again.
