Grandmaty, I agree totally. People think that it could never happen in America. That is what is going to make many people sitting ducks. People just choose to close their eyes and think that what is in front of them will just go away. There are many people pushing up daisies that thought that way. Id rather be totally prepared and pray that I never need to use it than to think that it could never happen. Even your own church recommends keeping a year of food and water. Its the same think. Wake up people.

Can you imagine that we live in America and have to consider this kind of stuff? I want to know, who stole my country?

Hi again California Dreamin. Heres what I have done to store corn. Yes I used pop corn also. Bought a 50 pound bag for 30 dollars. Then what I did was put as much as I could in a big bowl... then I added about a table spoon full of DE diatomaceous earth. Make sure you get FOOD GRADE. Dont breath it but it is very good for you to mix in juice with one teaspoon and drink every day. But back to the corn. With a big spoon I mixed the corn and the DE until it looked like all the corn had a bit on it. Then I put a portion into a food saver bag and vacuum sealed it. Heres the reason as I see it. Sometimes there are bug eggs in the food. Sorry its gross I know but its true. So the DE will kill any bugs that might hatch. But, when you go to use it just grind the corn as you usually do. The DE will be good for you. So its the best of both worlds. Kills bugs and is good for your body. Look it up and you will see. I have a 50 pound bag of that also. Great for tons of things. Chaplin, I have a high regard for pastors but you frighten me with the things you have said here. If that is what you are passing on to the people you talk to then you will be held to a higher standard and God will deal with you in a much harsher way. The Bible is the perfect word of God. I am continuously amazed at those who promote such.

I think you are right but would like to add one comment. Humans rank sin. God does not... because sin is death and death means you are dead and dead people as far as I have ever seen can do nothing to help themselves. They dont have just that one last bit of life left to grab the life ring or one last breath to do anything to help their condition. That is why we need a savior. That is why I disagree with the Mormons on the idea that we can do anything, and I mean anything to assist a Holy God in our salvation. As I stated before... assuming that we can do anything to help God save us says that we do not understand the depth of our sin or the Holiness of God. Working out your salvation is like asking your great great great grandfather to drive you to school. Hes DEAD, he cant help you. YOU ARE DEAD IN SIN... YOU CANT HELP YOU. Only a Holy God can and did on the Cross. Mormons are very nice people generally but, still think they can do something to sway God into getting into heaven. Aint gonna happen boys and girls. Aint gonna happen.
