  1. I know i'm not LDS but I don't get this. I'm a musician. A singer/songwriter and guitarist. I was doing a duo thing with a female singer/songwriter. I would go to her house while her husband was at work and we would play MUSIC. That's all. We never embraced, kissed or anything else. I never had an impure thought about her either. Her husband new of this. He trusted his wife and he trusted me. Both of them are devout LDS too. She did mention to me that she didn't want her mother to know about it because she would flip out on her a bit. I used to have a female friend who was a recovering drug addict. After she got out of rehab, the times when she was alone were the times she wanted to fall off the wagon. She was married. Her husband knew that I was the only friend she had where he didn't have to worry about me bringing drugs into the house. He had no problem with me being there when he was at work. The whole town (small town) thought we were messing around but he knew the truth and it didn't bother him. Point was, her and I had MUSIC in common. That's what brought us together as friends. I love her dearly like a sister and she's very pretty. But as much as I love her, she's not my type and i'm not her's. Contrary to popular belief, a hetero sexual man and woman can be in the same room together alone and spend a lot of time alone together without ripping each other's clothes off and doing something impure. Just my two cents. Karl
  2. Hey Carl62, I love turning people on to Phil just like you He's great. That story about the interview with Hendrix i'm not sure about. I've heard it too. I was reading a recent interview with Keaggy somewhere and he was asked about that. He said he doubted that it happend as he was pretty sure Hendrix never heard of him before he died. Phil did record at Electric Ladyland Studios but it was shortly after Hendrixe's death. But hey, even if it's not true, i'm sure Hendrix would have said it had he heard Phil. I really want to see him on concert before I die. I'm 41, he's a lot older, so I better get moving. lol. Look around on youtube. there is tons of Phil Keaggy stuff on there. I'm a youtube junkie. lol. Karl
  3. Not anything different from the norm. I'm pretty depressed actually. Not sleeping much and no appetite. Playing guitar is very therapeutic for me. I recall when my mother passed away back in 1994. I was in a rock band. I went straight from mom's funeral to my gig in a 3 piece suit. I was an emotional wreck in between sets but when I was on stage, NOTHING was bothering me. Music is a powerful thing. I feel fortunate and blessed to be able to create it. It allows me to productively express my joy, or my pain. I'll be ok. It's just going to take a bit of time. Thanks. Karl
  4. No kids. She gets on that kick once in a while but she doesn't have the patience for children. I'm afraid she would hurt them. She's not well herself. When we were living together, if the house got cleaned, I did it, I did the cooking, I did the laundry, I cut the grass, I cleaned the bathroom. It wasn't because she wasn't able to do these things. she just will NOT do them. If I don't do them, they don't get done. Karl My Website My Published Articles
  5. Songs called What a Day. I wouldn't post so much of him but I honestly can't imagine anyone not digging this guy. Enjoy. Karl PS. It kinda has a Paul McCartney feel to it. Great song.
  6. The song is called True Believers. Just watch the way he uses a looper in this song. A great tune and done so well. Karl
  7. This last one. He's really great! Karl
  8. Look at this one. Listen to the words. A beautiful song.

  10. I'm not LDS but came here to learn a bit more about the religion. Wife is LDS and is divorcing me because I'm not. I was raised Baptist and I lean more towards the Protestant faith. I have a lot of LDS friends and they are very good people. I came here for a bit of advice on the situation that's going on with my wife. Thanks Karl
  11. This man isn't LDS but he's devoted his life to spreading the Gospel though his music. And that's cool no matter what denomination you are. Karl My Website My Published Articles
