  1. One of the funnest mutuals I've done was human fouse ball. We had tape on the ground to show where the lines were and we had to stay on them. Someone brought long pieces of pcv pipe and we had to hold onto it. There were about three row on each side. We used a bouncy ball so no one would get hurt. On the far wall they taped a box to show where the goal was.
  2. At this age, dating should be fun. Date lots of girls now. Later on, after your mission, you can start dating seriously and looking for a spouse. Hopefully you will marry a worthy women and be sealed in the temple for time and all eternity.
  3. It's a hard question. You can look at from a million different directions. What would you be willing to give up to know God? Will watching this bring you closer to God or push you farther away? It's cheesy, but what would Jesus do? Is this going to push away the spirit? It's like the situation John Bytheway described. This girl realized that the for strength of youth pamphlet said that skirts need to be knee length. She went to her mom and asked EXACTLY where her knee was. Make a list of negative and positive effects the movie will have on you.
  4. Yeah getting up for seminary is pretty hard. Is he planning on going to byu at all? He'll defiantly need to graduate from seminary if so. Also learning stuff in seminary will help him on his mission. Seminary is for his own good. If he can't give at least and hour to the Lord, how does he expect to give two whole years? Plus, girls love spiritual guys. He will be blessed for giving up his sleep to learning about the gospel.
  5. So, he's always been a bit on the weird side. My impression is he really wants attention. He's about 16. I've explained to him that if he follows through with this he can never really go back. What's done is done. He says he is prepared to live with them. He said he went to EFY and said it was a spiritual experience. I asked him how he could deny it and he said he can make himself feel that way anytime He said his parents are making him go to church and he doesn't like to go at all. He keeps telling me that he hasn't acted on it yet and he probably won't, but he is seriously thinking about it. He's been telling me that he likes this guy and really wants to get to know him better. I just don't know what to do... He lives far away so the only time I talk to him is through texting and IMing.
  6. Just wondering if there is anyone I know. I would like more friends.
  7. Well I have this friend who I haven't see in a long time, but I've been texting and IMing him. He is lds, but now he wants to become bi. I don't know what to say to him. He is sitting on the fence and trying to decide whether to act on it or not. I've had long conversations with him about if he decides to go through with this what the consequences will be. I need help with this situation. What should I do????
  8. I used to live in San Diego. Beautiful area. Welcome. I'm ready for Thanksgiving too :)
  9. I know what the strength of youth says about it. Is there such thing as being too modest? I was wearing this shirt that wasn't immodest by any means, but it was lower than what I usually wear. This girl that was is in my ward, jokingly made fun of me when I held my shirt to my chest as I bent over. I know she was joking, but am I being too modest? Don't most LDS guys want girls that are modest?
  10. Hellloooo everybody. I'm a member of LDS church and have been for my whole life of 17 years. I love being a member. I'm currently trying to decide where to go to college. It's a big world out there and I have NO clue what I want to do. I absolutely love science, but I don't know what field to go into. My friends describe me as a Molly Mormon. I'm fine with that and I take it as a complement. It's hard to be a youth today, but I know that Heavenly Father has put me here in this time because he knows I can do it. I don't really have any best friends, I'm friends with everyone. Soooo, this is me.:)
