Despite the current problems our society faces... we are still living in a time of relative prosperity and ease as a whole. This sort of problem has always occured in such times within the body of the followers of Christ. When the slope away from the iron rod is gentle and serene its easy to let go when the rod feels cold or rough... but nevertheless it is a slope that inevetibly leads to a precipice sooner or later.

If you're talking UNITED STATES OF AMERICA wings of government then this is absolutely incorrect even by definition.
The Right Wing is pro-established order.  The Left Wing is anti-established order.  The established order from the founding of the United States of America to which every single State is subservient to is the US Constitution.  The US Constitution is founded on the principle that Man is Created Equal by virtue of their Personhood.  This is what put them in direct conflict to the British Crown which posited that Nobles (Lords) govern Commoners.
Therefore, in the fight against slavery, the Democrats - left wing - posited that Blacks are not Persons and, therefore, attempted to create their own Constitution while the newly formed Republicans - right wing - defended the US Constitution and the Personhood of Blacks.
In the fight against segregation, the Democrats fought against desegregation even creating their militant arm, the KKK, the Republicans (to which Malcolm X and MLK were members of) fought for desegregation as being the Originalist reading of the Constitution.
You can even extend it to sexism - the Republicans led by A. A. Sargent sympathetic to Susan B Anthony - fought for women's suffrage opposed by the Democrats.
You can extend it to their rule over the Philippines - Henry A. Cooper, another Republican, fought for Filipino representation in Congress, opposed by the Democrats who deemed Filipinos barbarians incapable of self-government.  The Republicans eventually won over the Democrats in this matter paving the way for Philippine Independence.
Now... TODAY... the Democrats continue to support policies such as illegal immigration under the foundation of slavery that only "illegals" pick crops and clean toilets and would then work for pitiable pay outside of regulation.  They also support policies of Affirmative Action under the foundation of ethnic racism that Blacks are not capable of achievement by merit.  They are also the ones supporting policies under the sexist foundation that Men oppress Women (Patriarchy), Men rape Women (Rape culture), etc. etc.
The latest banner of the Democrats is their opposition to bin Salman who is instrumental in the implementation of progressive changes in Saudi rule, expanding rights of Women.
I can go on and on...

Problem I have with this stuff is that in a real sex abuse case, no matter how much money you get, it doesn't touch true reparation for the damage done.  I know back when Michael Jackson was alive, people wouid accuse him of being a ChiMo, but he'd settle out of court.  Because back then (and even now) the parents only wanted money.  The damage that can do to a person's image is horrible.  Far better to give them what they want and they'll scurry off with the rest of the insects.  Awful but true.
At the same time even real victims will just settle out instead of wanting to go through the horror of court.  Sickenly awful but very true.

Just a note for the uninformed.  If someone is to go to the internet and type sex offenders in {city, state} they will discover that there are a lot of convicted sex offenders all over Utah - thousands in fact.  It is possible that one or a few were not convicted?  Maybe but in this country a person is considered innocent until PROVEN guilty.  That is the standard and the law.  Accusations are not proof.  Many accusations still are not proof.
Okay - that is one side.
I also happen to know that crimes involving children are quite difficult to prove.  Children are not reliable witnesses.  Thus a failure to convict does not mean a crime did not take place.
I will tell a true story - I know a person that was convicted of abusing children - that person was also abused.  There was enough solid evidence to convict the person but their record was expunged because they were a minor.  The person went through therapy and their parents pronounced them clean and cured.   And so this person was brought to functions where my family (while my children were still young) were present.  I shadowed this person very closely.  They were quite offended (as were his parents) and confronted me for following him everywhere.  I responded that I was the best friend he had at the function.  If someone were to accuse him I would be the perfect witness that nothing happened.   Now, many years later, I personally believe this individual to be safe - even around children.  Not because I think he is cured and has no problems - but because I believe they have a clear understanding (perhaps better than most) what is right and wrong around children and they are determined not to do something wrong.
There are many dangers in our world.  I think we can use good sense and spiritual guidance (not just one or the other) and find protection in life (anyway it has worked so far for me) - but not necessarily without someone blaming or falsely accusing.  But for those what would (harbor an ever present desires to) offend children - I honestly believe it would be better that they were never born.

I haven't had to put my own idea to the test, but my thinking is this:
There are legitimate cases where transsexuals have gone through the medical, psychological and legal processes to change sex.  In cases like that, yeah I will probably use the new pronouns that apply... And that mainly because in the Church Handbook it says there may be cases where a person who has had a sex change could be baptized, etc. as the new sex identity.
In cases where some dude just suddenly decides he's a girl, no other effort made, then no.  Putting lipstick, a dress and a self righteous attitude doesn't magically transform a male into a female, and I refuse to play along.

I don't watch TV much - can't compete with football.  But I do enjoy watching hours-long interviews and such on youtube.  Dave Rubin is one of my favorites and his interviews with personalities like Tommy Robinson, Sam Harris, etc.,  are good in getting me to understand that side of the aisle.
His interview with Parkland Survivor Cameron Kasky was interesting.  I considered Kasky an ignorant fool after his actions in the CNN Townhall with Rubio and Loesch after the Parkland incident.  Watching the Rubin interview made me respect Kasky.  It's like a completely different person from that Townhall to that Rubin Report.  Kasky showed maturity even as I don't agree with a lot of what he said.  This gives me hope that the GenZ has what it takes to bring sanity back to the socio-political arena.
I urge you - especially the conservatives - to spend the time to watch this interview and see a much better - more reasonable - presentation of the gun control side and the left in general and how healthy conversations can once again dominate the arena of public discussions.
Here's an article by Guy Benson on the interview if you can't invest the time to watch it:
    https://townhall.com/tipsheet/guybenson/2018/09/21/cameron-kasky-ive-left-march-for-our-lives-and-im-very-regretful-of-some-of-the-things-i-said-n2520633
    Excerpt:
He told us how he's now aware that he was "propped up as an expert by the media," even though he and his friends lacked expertise. He's also grown to realize how little he understood about the beliefs and motives of people with differing views -- describing to us how he's now met and talked with people who use firearms to defend their families, and discovered that roughly half of women are pro-life.  In the coming weeks, Kasky is launching a podcast called Cameron Knows Nothing, in which he'll welcome guests from across the political spectrum in an effort to better elucidate issues, learn about opposing viewpoints, and encourage healthier discussion. - Guy Benson.

I worked several "spook alleys" too.  Getting someone's name was always a great scare.  My best was my zombie shuffle walk next to a boyfriend/girlfriend.  The BF managed to pass her hand off to mine and I walked hand in hand with her for a few feet before she realized who was holding her hand.  Good times.  Fast forward quite a few years and I'm telling this story one night to my wife.  Yep...she was the girl whose hand I held briefly...

Blackmarch reacted to Fether in Why Is There an Upset about Polytheism?
    Just a basic definition from Google;
    Polytheism:
the doctrine of or belief in more thanone god or in many gods. Our doctrine states that we can become like our Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. With that comes the assumption that there are others already like him. The assumptions begins to look like church doctrine when you take in account church backed quotes like
“God himself was once as we are now, and is an exalted man, and sits enthroned in yonder heavens! … It is the first principle of the Gospel to know for a certainty the Character of God, and to know that we may converse with him as one man converses with another, and that he was once a man like us; yea, that God himself, the Father of us all, dwelt on an earth, the same as Jesus Christ himself did!” - Joseph Smith
“As man now is, God once was: As God now is, man may be.” - Lorenzo Snow
If one says we are polytheistic, there must also be a disclaimer saying we are like no other polytheistic religion ever before. We “believe” that there are other “God’s” but none of them have any effect on us and it would mean eternal damnation if we were to worship some other god that may or may not be there. And such gods, should they exist, would find it reprehensible to be worshiped by us as they are not our God. Heavenly Father is our God. There one could argue “henotheism”
But I do not for a second argue that we are polytheistic or henotheistic. The church itself makes no such claim to even the least degree.
Another issue with this stance (and this is why your probably got backlash) is because polytheism has a negative  connotation . Much like the word “cult”, the idea is much more menacing than the definition. In reality, all Christians, be them in a denomination or not, are a part of a cult. The Democratic Party is a cult as is the Republican Party. The KKK and Jones Town were/are a cults as is your local high school drama club. But because we don’t call you drama club a cult, nor do we call the Presbyterian Church a cult. Why? Because the Connotation is awful.
The idea that there are potentially other God’s out there ruling their own corner of the universe have absolutely no effect on our faith and even the slightest investigation of such an idea would distract us from what really matters. Things like faith, hope, charity, repentance, forgiveness, Jesus Christ.
Whether I believe in other Gods or not is purely a matter of philosophy and has nothing to do with my eventual exaltation and eternal life. I can deny their existence all my life and find out they are there and be just as saved as the person that believes they are there and finds out they are not. There is really no point to figuring this out or not.
