I don't really like the OMG statement. Yahoo has an OMG page, and you know they are not saying oh my gosh. But I don't judge those who use it. I can't read minds. I just personally wouldn't want to say oh my gosh [OMG] and people think I'm promoting that saying oh my "God" is what i might mean to say and is ok. Just my 2 cents.

I dont wish to explain this a 3rd time. But just curious, could you show me one of these christian apologetic website ministries that "defend the faith" that are not anti-something. I'd like to check them out please. -Thx

You guys are both being unfair; you're twisting things around and you've been doing nothing but be unkind and argumentative with me on the forum. I'd appreciate it if you would show me the courtesy that one might normally receive from members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. And christian apologetics research ministries is one of many to have a debate with. I don't promote "anti-"anything. Hence I didn't post the site, not because I'm secretive! Two other people even pointed this out to you already. That's what apologists they do, ground reasons that they are in the correct position and why others are not. It is the nature of apologetics. And rameumptom, Dawkins was the perfect example of an atheist apologetic to give to Moksha to help illustrate who and what apologists do. Richard Dawkins hates religion but is thee most popular, thee most sought after and accredited atheist (by atheists) out there. All you ever do is pick on everything I say. Please! I will once again say, I apologize if there is something that I said that made you upset of offended you. Let us try to get along. I am willing to respectfully disagree and state my reasons why. But let us do this respectfully. Not with a spirit of hate that resonates with anger and intolerance. You are a 50 year old man and a 35 year member of the church. I don't think I should need to beg you to start over and be more respectful to me so many times. Thx Judo. I have only been messaged by you and one other person. But it looks like apologetics and debating are pretty touchy subjects by reading some posts. So I think I will just stop here and leave it at this. I want to encourage anybody who enjoys apologetics and defending their faith to be prepared to answer challenging questions by people. Your neighbor, your friend or a relative. Do I recommend this for all members, of course not. Many people here just wish to have a relationship with God and enjoy fellowship their their fellow Church members. I don't even suspect those people are interested on reading a thread about apologetics. However, many I see like to debate on forums (obviously) and elsewhere. To you I say, learn and defend, from whatever position you may be in. I am a strong believer that no matter what you believe, learn it, know it. I personally could not defend or even help an Islamic person until I studied their beliefs. I watched their debates, talked to their people and studied. Look, if you're interested in learning, research. If your a seasoned apologist, or decent and want practice, contact any type you are knowledgeable in. If you are just curious, don't go on some radio station and get beat up. That's like jumping in a ring without any training. But this isn't about entertainment. It's about making a sound logical case to their audience. It's an opportunity to reach out to hundreds of interested people simultaneously. If your on YouTube and want to defend and reach out to Atheists, go and call the shows at TheAtheistExperience or Infidelguy. They have a huge audience in need. If you want to reach out to MainStr-Christians contact Carmvideos or DrOakley1689. They defend against many positions too. If you want to speak out to Muslims contact MuslimByChoice. I see where you are coming from Moksha. But typically an apologist is someone who proves or defends the faith, not necessarily just to tell someone they are wrong. I can see someone saying that, but it goes much deeper. We all need defenders of the faith. There are many LDS apologist who user fairlds.org as a resource. I don't think that there are any mainstream christian apologetic radio shows (or websites) that some LDS members wouldn't be quick to call anti-mormon. Therefore, it would be more respectful of me just to come out and ask for interested apologists, rather than openly listing websites that new LDS member could stumble upon. I'm not here to start trouble, but I would like to hear what very talented LDS people have to say on the radio, and I think many others would be also. So you think you're strong like bull ehh? There is nothing wrong with me asking what I have. I went about it in a kind, safe, sensitive and respectable manner. I understand this is not an apologist forum, but there are apologists here, and very talented ones. Joe, you've asked if I have ties to anti-mormon literature, you've asked me whom I represent, you've given me your opinion on how the radio audience are like throwing pearls to swine, you've stereotyped a radio audience as only wanting to mock you, and now you're telling me there are no apologist on lds.net and to go somewhere else because you don't like debates or apologetics. I'm not asking you to apologize for anything. Sorry if I implied that. Most religious apologists might not agree that they are just casting pearls to swine by participating in discussion and debate, otherwise they would not be apologists. An audience is made up of a group from several different word-views, some open for persuasion, some closed-minded and some neutral until God's moves on them. Now perhaps if it was known (in a rare case) that an entire audience was only going to laugh and be entertained, then that may be "casting pearls to swine." But not typical of a radio audience.

You seem to either not care very much for me, or maybe just coincidentally replying to all of my messages today with a level of harshness I haven't yet seen by LDS members of this forum. Sarcasm and strong debates can be expected once in a while, but I must have really pushed your buttons somewhere. Let us start over, sorry if I said something rude to you or offended you somehow. All world-views have respectable apologists whom invite and are invited to defend their belief. I understand your dislike in these events, but I think you might be mis-illustrating many religious apologists.

I think we all can agree where you get your knowledge and understanding of the scriptures. Influential Scholars (<--reference) No offense, but as referenced above, you seem to choose and listen to scholars whom only a foolish Christian would (in my opinion), and you claim to see the Bible clearly.

I can see that you are a product of your carefully chosen scholars. I can probably find another 20 heretical scholars if you would like to add them to you list. Bart is a textual critic of early Christianity. He is now an Agnostic. Turn away from him if you are Christian my friend. Tell me something, how is listening to Bart Ehrman (a Christian turned Agnostic) any different from an LDS Member listening to Shawn McCraney (an LDS turned Mainstream Christian)? haha I do not belong to anti-anything. I am flying solo in life at the moment. I pretty much go to church on Sunday, and study theology all week long while I'm not working. If I got paid for research, I'd be rich . Or maybe just make a few bucks. Apologetic websites have apologetic information defending their position against yours. It can also be "anti-" Christadelphianism, Christian Science, Atheism, International Church of Christ, Islam, Jehovah's Witnesses, Kabbalah, Oneness Pentecostal, Open Theism, Roman Catholicism, Seventh Day Adventism, Shepherd's Chapel, Universalism, Wicca.

Yes, I agree. (I'm not trying to fool/trap anyone). It is an apologetic atmosphere. They have many sects preaching their faith Baptists, LDS, Catholics, Jehova Witness, Deists and Atheists to the host. Participants probably only get about 10mins time, depending on how interesting. But it is something for defenders, or decent apologists. So if you are convincing, then it's for you. If you are an average joe, then you would probably get beat up as Pam said.

Hey, whaddya know, It's loudmouth_mormon, lol. It is a web-based show, not sure if they actually broadcast on some small little AM station or not. But the audience is mainstream, catholic, lds, agnostic and atheist... quite a mixture. The host is mainstream. Topics can get very interesting. Feel free to let me know if you would like to defend the faith sometime. Debates and discussion can be fun. They have many atheists and catholics defending their belief, but need strong lds to speak up.

Anyone be interested in calling a radio show (smaller radio show) anytime in the future? Need a good defender, lots are here. It's an apologetic atmosphere, and I know there are a lot of good speakers here like, (well I shouldn't name names). But you know who you are, many of you have a lot of knowledge in your faith.

Please point me to a Non-LDS Christian scholar (as you say) that claims "Early Jews were polytheistic."For every one that you point me to, I can point to a hundred scholars that would lolz at them as well. Why don't you lookup "Jewish Seminary" or "Synagogue" in the Yellow pages, and keep calling until you find one that agrees with you; you wont. If you are referring to Jews that fell away (here's a good example) and worshiped a gold calf, God had them killed, right away. Abraham = Father of Judaism = Monotheist I am finding a few Atheist sites (but no Christian scholars) with this information.

Deuteronomy 18:22 If you don't trust everything in the Bible, I would highly advise that you find something that you do. In my case, the Bible has done something no other book on Earth has. Revealed the future with stunning 100% accuracy hundreds of times. It stands the test of time in prophecy, archeology, science, history. No other book has proven this to me, I trust that it is God's Word. Jesus quoted Moses in the old testament and said that they were God's words. Jesus = God Jesus did not know the exact date of His coming = True Jesus guessed His second coming = False Your statement = incorrect BTW, what do you think guessing wrong is, in this case, it would have resulted in Jesus making a false prophecy. Christians don't believe this, I advise you don't either. Maybe you should talk to your Bishop about this one.
