Dr T got a reaction from NeedleinA in Lakers continued
That’s right, they NBA messed up allowing all that junk. Many people want entertainment not that stuff. I heard last night they will strip all that. They’ve lost SO much money. Well see if they cut the players $. We’ll see.

For what it's worth, and not to minimize your struggle at all, this is the common lot of mortal life. Even the most healthy, strong, and privileged will die of accident, sickness, or age. We spend out lives mourning our loved ones who leave us, and sometimes approach our own mortal end with trepidation. I personally believe that we will have a much different and significantly brighter perspective of the mortal experience when we're no longer in the middle of it. Anyway, my best wishes to you as you continue on life's journey. Didn't mean to derail the Lakers thread.

Kobe. Such a huge loss! I will not say the greatest of all time as I reserve that for MJ but he was a MJ Jr. for sure. I loved his assassin mentality, his competitiveness and his drive, his work ethic was great. I heard the Mavs retired Kobe’s # That is Super cool in my book. I feel bad for his family, his wife and 3 surviving daughters. He never got to give his hall of fame speech. I'm shook. He was one of the best during my time, Kobe was great. I'm sad for his loss

I'm going to start a story and you can add to it. Just add a couple of lines. Try to use a site member's name in the story as we go along.
Once upon a time in a land far far away, there lived a beautiful princess by the name of @LadyGator. Now LadyGator lived in a big castle that was surrounded by moats. In those moats were the very dangerous @MormonGators. Because of this, her father King @Vort never let her leave the castle compound.
This thoroughly frustrated LadyGator as she wanted nothing more than to become a @Traveler. "I must get out of the castle," she said.

I guess we shouldn't be suprised anymore at Coach's getting fired. Seems coachs are the first people on the hotseat and the stars are usually blameless. Being from AZ and a huge suns fan, it's shocking to people here that I am a big fan of the Spurs. The more I read about their organization the more respect I have, and it shows how successful they have been. More organizations need to try that model, and be PATIENT, and see where it takes them.

I saw the power rankings and lakers weren't even last place, so that is a plus! Kobe saying he hurts just walking to his car, that he is sore all over.... that is what old age and mileage will do to ya. I think they would be better off without him, but no way he is quitting this season without a serious injury.

100% agree. Chicago is his DREAM place, and if bridges are getting burned there attitude wise, I find it hard to think he will be any better somewhere else. Someone will pick up him and toss him 25 million a year though, it is the NBA after all. The thing is he is a scoring point guard that relies HEAVILY on his athleticism, I just don't see him sticking around as an all-star caliber player very long even without any more major injuries.
I'm a lebron fan, so I have to add something to each post. Been seeing some great signs so far as to his health, appears to be doing quite well. He already has alot of mileage and with his weight, eventually it is going to catch up to him with how he moves/plays, but things are looking really up for the cavs so far this season. You can already tell at times they are very unselfish and play good team ball.
