  1. I was not sure where this should go so I put it here And before hand : I am not looking for a debate or anything of the like. I am looking for an answer and that is all. So 1 Timothy 4 "1 Now the Spirit expressly says that in latter times some will depart from the faith, giving heed to deceiving spirits and doctrines of demons, 2 speaking lies in hypocrisy, having their own conscience seared with a hot iron, 3 forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from foods which God created to be received with thanksgiving by those who believe and know the truth. 4 For every creature of God is good, and nothing is to be refused if it is received with thanksgiving; 5 for it is sanctified by the word of God and prayer." I am just wondering what you guys think of this verse as it relates to the Word of Wisdom and guidlines on drinking tea and coffee. Thank you!
  2. I hope this is the right place for this... I have a frien who is on a mission, now that he is finally headed to Mexico where he was called we have been given special instructions for sending letters : It can only be a single page folded in three and taped or a post card. No envelopes allowed. I was just curious if anyone knew why this was? Thank you!
  3. oh no! Accidents are really scary. I would say its pretty common to loose your confidence! I didnt feel comfortable parking or driving at all when i got into a little scrape parallel parking! The rates may go up... lucky for me with my parking incident only my car was damged so no big deal It is ok! Just make sure you continue good and safe driving habits!
  4. You arent saying all african music is "paganistic" or evil are you? I hope not
  5. They are not all about sex and drinking. There maybe drinking content in them,(everyone doesnt agree that a drink or two is a sin ) but I dont think you can assume its about getting wasted. In any case, we arent going to see eye to eye and that is fine.
  6. A non rap example would be Lady Gagas Telephone Rap : Lil Wayne and T pains "Got Money" Shop Boys Party Like A Rockstar Dem Franchize boys Lean wit it Rock it
  7. There is music that is not profound but also not vulgar.
  8. I agree with the explicitity and such. That gets on my nerves and is always unnecessary. It is mostly true that you can dance to it anyways. But also I find that for certain dance settings the depth can take away from the dance. And by certain settings i mean dance performance. Sometimes the depth is great for the choreographer and sometimes it isnt. I never said it doesnt matter at all. I said in those two situations it isnt necessary. Sometimes appreciated. But sometimes it isnt. For me any way. So what I am trying to say is yes keep the profound music (and keep it clean) But dont do away with the non profound music either.
  9. I wouldnt say a majority of a time. But thats also becuase Ive Heard other rappers that you havent. AND Ill say again. When you just want to jam in the car or on the dance floor depth isnt necessary. It serves not purpose in these instances anyway.
  10. Yes you can still to profound music. But that doesnt change the fact that everything doesnt need to be profound :)
  11. It isnt that terribly hard to come by. I do disagree with the person you were arguing with when they say vulgarity is necessary. But I dont disagree when they said not to look too deep for meaning and such. All music doesnt have to be profound; We do need music that is just good to "mob" or dance to. And by we I mean people who enjoy such activites.
  12. Mainstream rap is terrible I will admit. But there is plenty that you dont hear on the radio that is great.
  13. Oh wow that is pretty cool!
