  1. Hi everyone. A friend of mine who is a former Mormon who converted to Catholicism is claiming that the LDS scriptures have changed drastically over the years. Is this true?
  2. Congratulations HoosierGuy! :) I haven't been able to read the whole Book of Mormon yet.
  3. Well everyone, I just thought I'd stop by to say that I am reconsidering Mormonism but I still have many questions. If anyone would be willing to chat with me in Windows Live Messenger, Yahoo Messenger, or AIM, I'd appreciate that.
  4. Well, no, I do not accept those doctrines either. I reject most of the doctrines of the Mormon church. Thanks for wishing me luck but I must disagree with your P.S. I don't know how you can feel that I will be back some day. I honestly don't feel that I'll ever be back to the Mormon church.
  5. I was a convert. Thank you. I will probably visit here from time to time. :)
  6. No, the church on earth never ceased to exist. It has always existed.
  7. Polygamy is wrong. Please see the following articles: Why did God allow polygamy / bigamy in the Bible? 8. I just wanted to let you all know that about a week or so ago, I sent in my resignation letter to the Mormon headquarters in Salt Lake City, Utah. I have decided that I no longer wish to be a member of the Mormon Church and I totally understand all the "consequences" of resigning. I know that the effects of my baptism will be canceled and that any temple recommends I had will also be canceled but I didn't have any temple recommends. Even if I did, I wouldn't care if they were canceled. I simply find myself no longer able to agree with the tenants of the Mormon faith. I have nothing against Mormons themselves. I only have something against what the Mormon church believes. The most important of which would be the unorthodox view of the Trinity that the Mormon church holds. I hope that none of you will be angry with me for resigning my membership in the Mormon church and please know that I hold nothing against any of you. My decision to resign was not the result of anything anyone said on these forums or anything of that sort. It was a result of my own choosing. The headquarters did mail me back and told me that my decision would have to be handled by local priesthood leaders. I did not know this at the time that I mailed my letter to the headquarters. Anyway, may God bless you all and may you all someday find the truth which I personally do not believe is found in the Mormon church.
  9. I was 24 years old when I came to believe in Mormonism. :)
  10. Digital Shadow, I don't know if you have read these articles or not but I would recommend that you read them. :) http://www.mormonfortress.com/evolution.pdf Evolution
  11. Hi everyone. I was away from the LDS church for quite some time and so I was not tithing. Must I pay what I did not pay while I was gone or should I just start tithing again now? Thanks.
  12. Hi everyone. I have some questions about the Holy Spirit that I am kind of confused on. First of all, why doesn't the Holy Spirit have a body like other gods and the rest of the Trinity? I mean the obvious answer to this is that He is a Spirit but why is there an exception for the Holy Spirit? Also, what do Mormons believe about the Holy Spirit in general?
  13. I hope this reply is helpful to you. Anyway, I think that everyone at times has doubts. That is at least until they gain a strong testimony. Don't worry too much though. Just pray to the Lord about your doubts and read your scriptures more. Also, post what doubts you have here and people will reply to them and maybe be able to help you. There are also some Mormon apologetics sites online that you can look up that would be helpful to you concerning any doubts you may have. I hope this helps.
