  1. I have to admit, I feel slightly guilty for having an angst against Westboro, but it's hard not to have one when they act like this in Public as Soul said. It's like (although on an entirely different scale) the 9/11 Terrorists. You want to be tolerant and forgiving, but it's just impossible to do so with their actions they're making in the world.
  2. Ahh, our good old Lucky Loonie. Now on steroids!
  3. As a whole, I myself agree that Freedom of Speech needs to be protected but at the same time I think it as a right and a privilege. You don't go around abusing that power by making these vulgar protests. Besides, these soldiers fought for their rights and freedoms. Westboro should at least open their eyes and ears and acknowledge that. I don't car if they protest against the war, just as long as they present their (if there are any) valid arguments in a calm and respectable manner. Hopefully, these guys don't go further and come up here into Canada to do the same routine as we take our fallen soldiers down the 'Highway of Heroes'. That would just sicken me if they did.
  4. Westboro protesters face jeers and slashed tires All I can say is this. Justice. Sweet, sweet justice.
  5. Last I checked, Harry didn't use the killing curse on God. 'nuff said. Besides, the books never had any of that crap in them. That's Hollywood for ya.
  6. Are you also serving a mission elsewhere in the world, and not just on the internet, because in my opinion, it's not really a mission if you do it at home.
  7. I don't really know how to introduce this, so I'll just post the link. This is probably the best movie I've seen in a while.
  8. Just to clarify, I was intending that the smoking was infact intended to be an 'add insult to injury' statement. I just type before I think sometimes.
  9. What's even worse is that she stopped to smoke for a few minutes and resumed shaking the baby afterwards.
  10. Good news, it now comes in France. Wide eyes in 3... 2...
  11. I disagree. It's only in Utah that you can find caffeine-free Barq's root beer (which was already disgusting enough before they took out the caffeine). Farther east, you tend to find more liberal Mormons. I disagree. It's here in Canada. Anyways, I drink as much pop as I please as long as it doesn't has caffeine, which is everything up here!* *(except for Coke and Pepsi)
  12. I think the KFC Double Down or BK Pizza Burger already won the 'Most Likely to Kill Somebody' award.
  13. lizz, you DO NOT WANT TO KNOW. Back on topic, I've had, somewhat of a vandal expierence happen to my branch myself, but it was far less extreme than this. It was more along the lines of teens my age (nom-members thankfully) busting out a pack of ciggarettes and smoking their lives out. They also left alot of change on the steps and the Branch Pres gave the cash to me cause I helped clean up. Could I just throw out the 'shocking' fact that not all LDS teens meet the standards of the church? I think the article clearly was a manifesto of that. Honestly I wasn't surprised. I've known some LDS members who've done things that cannot be mentioned.
  14. Being a teenager myself, I've suprisignly havn't noticed anything like this happening with my classmates. If he does have suicidal tendicies, I'd suggest you find out if he is being bullied, this picture might be just from some bonehead 'genius' telling your bro to go kill himself. You should really find out if that's the case, because bullies are often the main cause of suicides. Another possibility is grades. Find out how he's doing at school, because here at high school for me, grades can be a complete nightmare if things aren't going well, espicially if you're giving effort (the things they're teaching us for math *shudders*). Might I suggest you try getting him doing activities that he loves. For me, I feel relaxed playing Hockey, playing video games, and travelling, and doing that kind of stuff after going through some rough times is a relief for me.
  15. I just realized something... This would make one heck of a Dan Brown book. (Back on Topic): You're right though. Along with wikileaks, there are individuals that will leak classified government documents, which concerns me. You don't just sneak into an office and steal these kind of documents, you have to be at a high standing rank to look at these documents. So if we have people in the military doing this right now, who can we trust to protect government documents AND are we really able to keep even more important classified documents safe?
  16. Something tells me that millions of people won't be singing this song anymore. Honestly, I'm glad that Limewire is shut down. Hopefully the limers will get their songs legitimatly from now on.
  17. I've been following this WikiLeaks situation for a while now, and I personally believe it needs to be shut down.
  18. This looks interesting. Is this going to be the only temple in Italy when completed?
  19. I'm predicting that devout christians will be hanging this up in their rooms. If they worshiped food with the supposed image of Mary or Jesus on it, I'm sure they'll do the same with this picture.
  20. I've read a few of the books, and they wern't really enjoyable because of how they were written. Now they just sit on a shelf in my room waiting to be sold at a future yard sale.
  21. I've never read the books, but based on the movies adaptations, it was outstanding overall. However, I'm curious to know if WGIII was the last film they're making for the series, because I was left wanting for more after seeing the latest film.
  22. I think it's pretty much the statas quo that movies adapted from books come out horrible. There are few movies though from written works that turned out well. Benjamin Button for one was an extrodinary film, although the film almost completely differed from the short story. I'd make a list of book adapted films that were bad, but there are too many to list.
  23. I mean, we have a Bible, we believe in God, Jesus, and the Holy Ghost (albiet in a different way), we have meetings every Sunday. Basically, the artice summarizes my frustration on how we're judged by others.
