  1. My wife and I were married in the temple with her receiving her endowment the week before. Other than one part that would have been eliminated had she previously been endowed, I don't see what the issue is. Sister missionaries are endowed, so their future husbands miss that step, so otherwise I see no point in denying the blessings of the temple to a worthy single adult non-RM female. My wife actually had a recommend before we met, but had not gone yet.

  2. Information given during EQ today was that if you didn't attend tithing settlement and re-affirm you are a still a current full tithe payer then your temple rec would be cancelled. The bishop would report to HQ anyone not a full tithe payer. This was communicated from a member of he High Council to our EQ 1st counselor today. We do not have a current EQ President right now. I asked a member of a different Stake Presidency, who said it is not an automatic policy, but that a bishop could do that.

  3. You need to call the EQ Pres and as him who it is. Or ask during PH opening exercises when the ask "do we have anything from the body of the priesthood", say "Yes, I would like to know who my HT is. Ask out on the open, so it puts people on the spot.

    You're so funny!

Yah - was assigned to talk in sacrament, blessed the sacrament, bore my testimony, my records were read, I have taught a Sunday School lesson, called as a ward missionary, spoke at Primary, etc. They know I am here. I think they are preoccupied.

I did get invited to dinner a couple of times and one I had to decline because my mom was ill. My first ward really spoiled me.

I think I just need to stay home and wait for the HT to show up. Kind of like waiting for the cable or phone guy, You're not sure exactly when they'll come, but they do eventually come. :lol

  4. There is a group of members who discuss at a website called Mormon Missionary Position. frank discussions. For obvious reasons I will not post a link. Also I believe it to have been discussed at the recent Sunstone Symposium in Utah by a group of writers. My wife was on a panel.

  5. That reminds me when I managed a convenience store. I can't believe how many people would quickly find something else to buy if their total came to $6.66.

I had someone call and demand a new credit card because the CVV code was 666. Didn't go well when I told her a replacement would have the same code, and she would have to change her acct number to get a different code.

  6. My wife has an iPad. She got it primarily to verify her ebook formatting she does for her clients is working right.

I have an Asus Transformer tablet that runs flash, and now even streams Netflix. It is one of the top rated tablet for students.

My wife is jealous of my tablet, I am not jealous of hers.
