Can I join the Marines and Still serve a mission?

Well I am 17 years old and I cannot join till i'm 18 but I just want some advice on it. I'm thinking on a LAV (light armored vehicle) crewman though the Infantry. Why do I want to Join? #1 A Big Brotherhood #2 A good way to start my future #3 Travel the world #4 To serve those who fought for my freedom! So that they may live free :) So ya...

I am a Senior in High School and now i'm starting to find out what to do with my life. What I now feel comfortable with is joining the US Marine Corps. But I need to serve a mission as well. I love the gospel and i know it is true. I have a testimony that i base myself upon and i serve in my Stake Youth Council. I have asked alot of people what i should do and i have got both answers. But my parents disagree on it. Can I still Serve a Mission but as a Soilder in the United States Marine Corp(?)
