Want a different answer to the original question? I'll keep it short for now, but I could fill many pages to talk about it. I think it ties in to the purpose of the Millennium and temple work. Everyone who reaches the age of accountability, regardless of who they were and what age of the world they lived in will be baptized and the temple work will be done for them - at least in proxy and before the final judgment after the end of the Millennial era. I see that as the central purpose for the Millennium. We'll have 150 billion people to temple work for, but I feel that the promise was made to all of us by the Lord before we were born - that the ordinances would be available, so no one could say that they didn't have a chance or were at some disadvantage because of circumstances. Certainly not everyone will accept the ordinances, but they'll be available. Hitler, Himmler, or whoever, no exceptions. My $0.02

Howdy, It's been a few years since I've participated in gospel oriented threads. I think the last was whyprophets.com, which has been gone for a long time. Anyway, I'm a long term member of the Church who gained his testimony by much study, digging, struggle and prayer. I do not take it for granted. My testimony is a positive thing. I see the Book of Mormon as a needed anchor in a very slippery world. It is exactly what it says it is, and I know that for myself, and it gives me comfort and hope for everything else. I think if you care to look, you can see the hand of the Lord in many things. Hope to have some great discussions with the group. Just call me Philby.
