  1. Update for those still interested Susan Brock molestation case: LDS bishops won't be charged
  2. Because we didn't want you to play No worries... once I figure out the mass delete button I can correct that for you
  3. Its the kind of Forums were the mod delete posts whose sole purpose is to inflate post count.
  4. I don't watch Idol myself, but the whole premise of these types of shows is to hook the audience in with the idea that they can 'make a difference' With DWTS its always been a 50/50 split between judges and viewers. The winner take all is really just a sneaky way of having the judges grant a type of immunity, without looking like that are granting an immunity. I am not against the idea of the judges being able to do so... just the sneaky way its being used. We are never given the break down of the viewer votes so we can't see who might be border line and work to boost them.
  5. I tend you use a portable version of Firefox, but then I jump between PCs alot and I like to take my stuff with me... Older versions of the portable Firefox can be found here Localization | PortableApps.com - Portable software for USB, portable and cloud drives Yeah I know not exactly what you were looking for
  6. Heh... I think Bruno's comment about Ralph's dance was way out of line. (I am pretty sure I can't even repeat it here) I agree that the other three are better dancers. I am hearing rumors that the Winner Take all Cha Cha... has been added to help the better but not so popular dancers avoid elimination. (There has been some upsets in the past due to this) I am not so sure I totally like that idea
  7. Welcome... Sounds like we got hit by the same virus
  8. I recently had virus trouble of my own... Turned out, it turn on the hidden attribute of some of my files... Made them disappear until I made it show hidden files. Could this be your problem?
  9. I have pics of me and my sons in white for their baptisms... Didn't post it to facebook... did put on a blog though
  10. Interesting.... Back to the initial question then... Does the Church of Christ have a set of non-negotiables? It sounded like it might not..
  11. Thanks..... It could even be an effort to avoid sin... A young couple in love, are ready and willing to commit to get other... Yet something is holding up the paperwork... totally not their fault. If they have the typical hormones that most people do then satan is going to hammer them on it. Without end just to stop it from happening.
  12. It so is a judgmental assumption. A potentially valid concern is blown up into condemnation of the entire civil wedding idea
  13. The only real reason I can see for the dislike for civil marriages is the idea that it might not progress any farther... That people might settle, or that people might simply run out of time in this life and missed the chance they should have taken.
  14. And lets face it... Telling someone you think they are sinning or wrong, is not something that is really conductive to being taken in a positive way, which skews perception drastically.
  15. There can be times where in the church the civil ceremony can get a bad rap. Too many say if its not a temple sealing then it is no good, and this is not the case.
  16. Don't feel so bad... If the apostles can't come to agreement on the issue it hardly fair to expect anyone else to
  17. But we have been working on our aim to correct that
  18. Waiting to do what it takes to get sealed first was an option.. yes. While it might not have been explained to the OP very clearly the options where Wait for the cancellations and clearances to happen and then get sealed or.. Marry civilly and wait for the cancellations and clearances to happen or a year which ever takes longer.. then get sealed... they chose the later
  19. My wife tends to fast forward through the musical numbers until she sees dancing. She likes more of the story and 'drama' of the contestants. I watch because she twist my arm to watch it with her. Admittedly when I realized she was encouraging me to watch attractive ladies in barely there outfits, shimmy and shake what they got... It didn't take much twisting... and I still get the brownie points
  20. In the commentary I read it says that verse 31 needs abit of adjustment do to translation errors 31 Then it shall be, that whatsoever cometh forth of the doors of my house to meet me, when I return in peace from the children of Ammon, shall surely be the Lord’s, and/OR I will offer it up for a burnt offering. Its a subtle thing but it clarifies Jephthah's promise if the first thing to come through the door is a Person or other thing unsuitable for burnt offering then it get dedicated to the Lord. Like Samuel's mother promised her son would serve the Lord if he granted her a son. However if it was an animal or other suitable thing for a burnt offering then that it what it would be. Basically Jephthah promised that his daughter would become the Jewish equal to a nun. With that understanding her request to bewail her virginity makes alot more sense... Because if you where about to die I would think other things would become a priority.
  21. Smile... Be polite... Tell them what your plans are so they know what to expect, and when to expect you gone. Then do your plan, if reasonable requests are made then be reasonable, but after telling them what to expect you have done your part
