While I believe this particular comment was a troll, I'm old and experienced enough to avoid claiming that no one is really that stupid.

Oh believe me, people really can be that stupid.  Just direct traffic once on a crash.

  2. @JohnsonJones  If you have the experience you say (I'm taking you at your word that you do) then you know how safe that child was and how ridiculous your concerns are.

Timestap 7:40 so you can see clearly what you will also see in the next picture.  Rifle slung downwards.

I am a building clearing instructor.

I am an active shooter/rapid response instructor.

I am a MACTAC instructor (counter terrorist active shooter stuff.)

Weird position to have when trying to find kids in a house.  If I were that kid I'd be afraid as well.  Still holding the gun as they talked to the kid at first also???  What were they thinking the kid was going to do???

Not sure it's a good look for the department on that point.

Thing I think was the scariest were Police were going through the house at the ready position, as if they were ready to shoot someone or expected someone to come out attacking them.

Standard building clearing tactics. I think you're looking for a reason to complain about the police.

    Wrong.  See above.

I really appreciate the support. I'm a little odd in that I moved to a rural area that is predominantly LDS but working for an organization of a couple hundred people that are 95% from other parts of the country. There is an anti local, anti Mormon attitude that is common amongst my co workers. As I've been here a while and have become friends with more and more locals ive realized that these are good people and that a lot of their positive attributes are due to their beliefs.

    Interesting.  Where do you live?

4 And they are aone God, yea, the very bEternal cFather of heaven and of earth.

Does the use of the pronoun they in this verse add support to the idea that Jesus and His Father are, collectively, one God?

Think of "they" in context of an organization.

Example:  Officer Mirkwood works in Utah.  He is part of the police.  They work together to solve crimes.

  6. I must correct myself.  There is a second time our leaders have referenced a sign of the times.

“If 9/11 (September 11, 2001) was a wake-up call, then the earthquake and tsunami in Southeast Asia (on December 26, 2004), was a kick out of bed. We need to pay attention to the signs of the times.” (Boyd K. Packer, meeting of the Twelve and the Seventy, January 11, 2005).

  7. Here's the actual quote about the missionaries.

Heber C. Kimball, Deseret News, May 23, 1931.

“An army of Elders will be sent to the four quarters of the earth to search out the righteous and warn the wicked of what is coming.  All kinds of religions will be started and miracles performed that will deceive the very elect if such were possible.  Our sons and daughters must live pure lives so as to be prepared for what is coming.

After a while the gentiles will gather to this place by the thousands, and Salt Lake City will be classed among the wicked cities of the world.  A spirit of speculation and extravagance will take possession of the Saints, and the result will be financial bondage.

Persecution comes next and all true Latter-Day Saints will be tested to the limit.  Many will apostatize and others will stand still, not knowing what to do.  Darkness will cover the earth and gross darkness the minds of the people.  The judgments of God will be poured out upon the wicked to the extent that our Elders from far and near will be called home, or in other words the gospel will be taken from the Gentiles and later on be carried to the Jews.

The western boundary of the State of Missouri will be swept so clean of its inhabitants that as President Young tells us, ‘When you return to that place, there will not be left so much as a yellow dog to wag his tail.’

Before that day comes, however, the Saints will be put to tests that will try the integrity of the best of them.  The pressure will become so great that the more righteous among them will cry unto the Lord day and night until deliverance comes.
